Bars to rent out?!?! When did we become so glamourous?!?! You can rent Potion Lounge, that's the cheeziest bar ever, it's fantastic. But it probably costs a lot to rent it.

geeta, we took over the basement of lolita on allen & broome for my friend's birthday. it's not huge, but at one point we had about 20 people dancing down there. they didn't charge us for the space (we promised loads of drinks would be purchased), and they have a dj set up.

Lolita sounds great. Also: how about that place on Rivington near Pitt where Tracer had his shindig? If Mini Kiss isn't playing it might not be uber-crowded.

Geeta, I'd suggest The Irish Pub on W.57th bet 7th and 8th. The jukebox is worthy, and the prices won't kill you.

(Not sure if it still gets crowded on Saturday nights, though)

yeah, I think it's InfraRed or some spelling variant. it's small but roomier than you'd imagine and I can't imagine you'd have any trouble renting it out. Geeta, check yr email!

Jukebox != DJ booth???!

InfraRed is exactly right, it's a good place. Every time I've been there BESIDES Mini-KISS night it was not crowded and there is a lot of space--it's narrow but goes back far.

OK Tom, I love Raj, but I have said this to you 400 times now: Raj's bar choices are the stereotype of the just-moved-to-nyc-out-of-college hipster who is latching onto places about 6 months after they are no longer remotely worth going to.

Motor City is awesome, Yancey, my ex roommate fell asleep there once while talking to Matt. Like, in mid conversation. It was incredible. Me and Tracer played that great pinball machine, whatever the fuck that was????
