I don't know if it exists, but it sounds very good to me.

the overwhelming response to this thread suggests that maybe cardamom flavoured chewing gum is not going to be my next entrepreneurial venture :(

minna (minna), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 05:32 (twenty-two years ago)

what does cardamom taste like?

the surface noise (electricsound), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 05:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I have had it -- Chiclets brand, I think; I know they do mastic flavor -- but don't know where to find it now.

Paul Eater (eater), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 05:39 (twenty-two years ago)

it tastes a bit like clove - it is a sweet and warm spice - i've read it's similar to eucalyptus but that's not the first comparison that comes to mind for me

minna (minna), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 05:48 (twenty-two years ago)

but paul, this info v encouraging! i might do some research now

kate (kate), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 09:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Cardamom is my favourite spice - sounds good to me.

Madchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 10:16 (twenty-two years ago)

OMG WTF!!11 Anything involving cinammon, cardamom and clove seriously rocks.

Baaderist (Fabfunk), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 11:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Nope. Cardamom has spoiled many a good Indian meal after I bite into one of the fuckers and can't taste anything else for the next 20 minutes.

Mark, those round things in the front of your face are called EYES.

Madchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 11:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Mmmm, clove chewing gum. Did I dream this, or does it exist? Because I have actual sense memories of it being the best stuff on earth.

kate (kate), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 11:42 (twenty-two years ago)

clove gum does exist - you can buy it in your more exotic european locales, like belgium. it's bloody horrible. cardamom chewing gum sound like a travesty. cardamom is good stuf, but chewing gum should be mint and mint alone. i am a gum rockist.

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 12:19 (twenty-two years ago)

and mark c you are a blistering lunatic, cardamom is essential in any good indian meal...

Ah yes, Mexican products will sometimes have a weird sort of taste to them, e.g. your "dusty"-tasting cinnamon chewing gum, and the notoriously bitter-tasting American brand sodas. (Never order a Diet Coke in Mexico unless you see that it's been imported from the States.)

Anyway, cardamom, hm? Sounds... sounds like something I'd have to try out, really!

Many Coloured Halo (Dee the Lurker), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 13:32 (twenty-two years ago)

B-b-but cinnamon gum can be found anywhere!

Baaderist (Fabfunk), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 13:34 (twenty-two years ago)

apart from england

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 13:52 (twenty-two years ago)

and that's why i love my country!

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 13:53 (twenty-two years ago)

How about those red cinammon tic-tac clones?

Baaderist (Fabfunk), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 13:56 (twenty-two years ago)

I didn't say it didn't impart a decent flavour, but surely you're not supposed to eat the pods??

Cinnamon = k-yum. My old flatmate's surname was Cinnamon.

Mark C (Mark C), Wednesday, 29 October 2003 14:40 (twenty-two years ago)

oh, i thought you typed "condom" flavored gum. now There's an unexplored flavor!
