Does Kraft make Wrapples anymore?

Back in the day (circa. mid to late 70s, maybe into the 80s) Kraft had this food product called Wrapples.

Wrapples were basically Fruit Roll Ups except they were caramel.

You took a Wrapple, wrapped it around an apple, put it in the oven, and voila, you had a caramel apple without the mess of heating up caramels and dipping and such.

Are Wrapples still available?

My memory is that eating them "raw" like a fruit rollup had comparatively diminished returns.

I talked to Kraft trying to find the word to the old Wrapples jingle, and got an idiot who kept trying to convince me that it never was one of their products.

ANyone know the jingle?

the last line was

"that's how you make
caramelled apples
with Wrapples, from Kraft."

Other lines were something like "insert a stick, heat it quick"

When I was 12, I used to go to the A&P and buy "expired" Wrapples for something like a quarter a bag, and eat them raw.

I haven't thought of Wrapples in probably 25 years. Weird.

Have you read my story where fermented Dr Pepper plays a big role? I think I wrote it mostly because I was like, goddamn, somebody needs to ferment some Dr Pepper.

Still, sheets of rum, almost as old as me, I'm not gonna wrap those on my apples.

If I could find a Pepsi Kona, you bet your ass I'd drink that. Ditto 7-Up Gold, or old Coke. But it says fresh right on the label and it's old enough to teach college classes. This is a sign.

a) Forget context! It's a signal, a code, a clue from the past, that innocent era when convenience food was made for ovens, not microwaves or Gameboys.

b) Think of all the changes to caramel apple technology we've wrought in the last three decades, not to mention the higher standards in safety codes which these old-enough-to-get-the-good-price-on-car-insurance Wrapples would flagrantly flout.
