How long between emails before you start feeling lonely?

So I'm sat here working and cos the internet is always on I keep going to my btinternet webmail and checking it like every five minutes.

But I haven't had an email for at least two hours!
(Not counting spam)

WaAAAAAAHHHH!!!!

NOBODY LOVES ME!

So how long do you go before thinking you're missing out on something, or that there must surely be something wrong with yr mail because you should have had one by now?

Um, that's one of the reasons I hang out on ILX. Why email when you can chat it up with bajillions of people all day?

Anyway, when I'm feeling like I don't have enough emails, I simply send out a whole bunch to different people.

And while we're at it, help me out and send me an email, the address with this is real.

I promise to reply and we'll both feel slightly better.

Yay!

The 'whole bunch to differnt ppl' tactic doesn't seem to be working today :-(

*sniff*

Hmm, I am tempted to ask you all to email me too, but then if no-one does I'll feel much worse. I'm just getting NO emails at all at the moment.

Nobody ever emails me, but I have only myself to blame because I take so long to reply to emails.

Nicolars (Nicole), Thursday, 30 October 2003 17:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I try not to complain about not getting emails as I've been criticized for not being a good emailer (too infrequent). I've tried to get a correspondence going with people but they generally seem to get bored of me and I can't blame them for this. I just plain don't have anything interesting to talk about. I'M NOT FISHING EITHER!

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 30 October 2003 17:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Bryan, I could email you a kick in the nuts again.

NA (Nick A.), Thursday, 30 October 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Or actually, if anyone else wants a kick-in-the-nuts-o-gram, just let me know.

NA (Nick A.), Thursday, 30 October 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd like another one please. You caught the right one square-on but only grazed the left one. If anyone else wants to email me FEEL FREE!!!

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 30 October 2003 17:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks NA! I once again won't be able to sit right for the rest of the day.

I almost never reply to emails because I'm so busy posting to ILX. But this doesn't stop me from feeling sad when I don't get them. People should just write me anyway! Selfish bastards, expecting me to reply all the time!

kate (kate), Friday, 31 October 2003 08:54 (twenty-two years ago)

I always reply to emails straight away (with a few exceptions) but I don't get as many anymore. Me & J used to email all day but now he's changed his job he can't email anymore. :-(

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 31 October 2003 09:03 (twenty-two years ago)

my vain attempts at making contact with the outside world via email are often met with disspointment and frustration when my inbox reads (0 new). maybe it's due to the fact that i always reply to everything with much enthusiasm and speed, and i can't understand why other people don't operate in said manner. maybe this is just a desperate plea for attention in the form of anyone emailing me dammit! or maybe it's not. feel free to lavish me with emails. i need some new interesting people to commune with anyway.

Hooray, just got one, I have a huge smile on my face! Cheers Aimee!

I've had three e-mails this week. That's a really good week for me. I used to get quite a lot, compared. I guess I tried (feebly) to see message boards like this as a substitute, but it doesn't work for me. (Then again, the fact that I'm an alien and don't relate to anyone probably has something to do with it.)
