Or two, even.

Because I'm thinking about moving to NYC in the medium term (2-5 years out, like) and also because it rocks, I'm returning next week to see what it's like in Autumn, and hang around with NYC ILXors. Let's face it, until I meet some cool people, you're going to be it.

I'm there between Thursday 6th and Tuesday 11th, and I was thinking about a quiet night out on Thursday (what with me being off the plane, and it being a school night) and then maybe a proper FAP Friday/Saturday. These are the plans. They will not last.

What with Nabisco/Sterling/Matos/Jess/SpencerStock just been and gone, and Halloween this weekend and GeetaFAP two weekends after that, I suspect I mightn't get fantastic attendance, but so it goes.

God, announcing that you're hoping to meet people better is just the creepiest thing in the world. Now I have this image of me with a clipboard and a questionnaire. But it won't be like that! It'll be fun! I'm fun (as far as any of you know)!

So, basically, is anyone going to be free, where should we go, should the second one be Friday/Saturday?

Random suggestion for future NYC FAPpy places -- Three of Cups has that downstairs lounge with lots of couches and tables and such. And they have Pabst in cans. And I know the Thursday night bartender. It's not swank or hip or anything, but whatevs.

I once had dinner in the upstairs part (not the dingey bar downstairs) and felt something under the table for the entirety of the meal....couldn't figure out what it was. When we finished up and paid the bill and everything, my friend Sean and I look under the table: a dead rat squashed completely flat.

The music at Filter was very, interesting. Does anyone have any Lit-alternatvies? CL and I are open. Would people be happier with the Magic Bar? yah we met on the York Street F platform at 4am like 2 years ago. i thought he was trying to pick up my hot friend, but instead he was recruiting us to join nyhappen*ings... and i used to go to Transmission all the time. in fact, i ran into dan last night! hes the best DJ in new york.
