i used to get mouth ulcers when i was a kid but as i got older they stopped completely and totally. never had one in 10 years. so i quit smoking right, a year ago, after 10 years and lo ! huge mouth ulcers appear again. massive ones. 4 times this year at least. horrible. even the doc winced. so i said to him that i had quit smoking and he told me that i need to take vitamin b to replace that contained within camel lights/marlboro menthols etc. !! no-one ever *ever* mentioned as a kid that i wasn't taking enough vitamin b.

but who knew they were in fags ?

ulcers though - any cure ?

you are a vegetarian, right? So am I and you do have to watch your B vitamin intake. B vitamin deficiency can be really slow to set in and really slow to reverse as well. Maybe you are especially prone to it? I never heard the smoking/B connection either but who knows?

Hurrah, smoking is good for you! I've not had any ulcers, but maybe I should restart just in case. Actually, maybe I've held it off by the expedient of pinching the occasional one off generous London ILX smokers (Anna, Steve, Gareth and others) at FAPs.

After quitting smoking I fell prey to a chronic phlegm deficiency. Other long term side effects included overactive pulmonary cilia, an insidious cardiac regularity, hypertrophic follicular aroma, and overpopulous spermatazoa.

overpopulous spermatazoa.

You're not as obviously heterosexual as Mark, I expect.

You have to work much harder to get your teeth and fingertips stained that lovely shade of yellow-black

haha, if only mark C didn't hate smoking so much!

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 2 November 2003 12:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I find the taste of cigarettes on a man very sexy. Given the package as it is, if he smoked I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO KEEP AWAY.
