I've been procrastinating too much at work lately on this damn thing and now I've got to get some stuff done. Plus I fear I've started to become addicted.

Soooo... I'm posting this and going away for a few days. I won't even come back and check this thread! Go ahead - say all sorts of nasty things about me - I won't see them! Ha! *fades into shadows*

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 08:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, and I've got a shedload of work piled up on my desk, and what am I doing? Work, or checking ILX? Dooo doo dee doo doo...

kate (kate), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:00 (twenty-one years ago)

*yawns*

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Morning all.

Madchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Hello, ladies. (And gents, too)

kate (kate), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Hello everybodypeeps!

I've taken a day off work today because I've got so much stuff to do at home. I have a feeling I may be indulging myself with reading ILX threads in preference to the intended tasks of re-glossing the door frames/shampooing the sitting room carpet/baking a birthday cake. Some days I have zero willpower :(

C J (C J), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Hola mi amigos!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:10 (twenty-one years ago)

CJ, don't do it! Use ILX to escape the boring mundanity of your office life, ENJOY YOUR LIFE OFFBOARD WHILE YOU HAVE IT!!!

kate (kate), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Kate is otm CJ, now bake as if your life depended on it!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, I know Kate. But I'm pottering around today in an empty house doing boring domestic tasks, and that's almost as bad as being at work. The computer is on and every time I walk past it I see someone has sent me a lovely email to read/joke to laugh at/news to catch up on, so I'm loathe to turn it off. I am addicted to that 'You've Got Mail' envelope :( I am weak.

I *was* thinking of saying 'bugger it' and driving down to Reading to go to that nice FOPP record shop where they sell new CDs for a fiver, but I really do have to do this stuff round the house today (people coming here for bonfire party, mulled cider, fireworks and super sossage tonite! Must tidy up!)

I think I'll start with a nice cooked brekky though, as a treat. Bacon, eggs and hash browns, anyone?

C J (C J), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:18 (twenty-one years ago)

ooh yes pls, but do you have any veggie bacon? If not can i have an exrta hash brown?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Hey Pink are you and J going to the fireworks tonight??

Davel, Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Bacon, eggs and hash browns, anyone?

that is the breakfast from heaven

the surface noise (electricsound), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Yup, you up for it?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Mmm, if you got the griddle going, I'm up for an ommelette!

kate (kate), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah!!

Wanna meet in the Zebra before they start???

Davel, Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Def! See you there around 7?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:59 (twenty-one years ago)

D'you want a plain omelette, Kate? Or shall I cook you one of my special Everything Omelettes (with sautéed sliced mushrooms/onions/potatoes/peppers/tomatoes and a good sprinkling of cheese melting on the top)?

C J (C J), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:04 (twenty-one years ago)

HI DERE

Amazing Randy, Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Mmmm, everything omelette sounds AMAZING!!! And veggie, too, hooray! Extra cheese please!

Since I am Queen, I can grant you a Royal Dispensation For The Kitchen. Would you like a barony and a castle, too? Pick yer fiefdom, and I'll get you some serfs to do your housework for you!

kate (kate), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Seven will be cool, what time to the fireworks start?? I seem to remember last year they started at stupidly early o'clock.

Davel, Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:13 (twenty-one years ago)

5th November? Guy Fawlkes? Blowing up parliament is such a COMMON thing to do. Why, in Our royal day, we'd just dissolve it. Bang!

kate (kate), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:14 (twenty-one years ago)

D'you know Kate, I wouldn't move now for all the tea in China. I've tramped around the world and lived in all sorts of exciting and interesting places, and here I am now (by choice) living in the middle of nowhere, in a tiny village surrounded by fields and trees with badgers and little muntjac deer living in my garden. Who'da thunk I'd have been the type to leave behind the hurly-burly of city life, eh?

But it's a little piece of heaven (even if I have to do my own housework).

I'm feeling really contented today :)

C J (C J), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:16 (twenty-one years ago)

7.30 & THEY'LL BE OVER BY 8, so i figure off to the pub afterwards!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, perhaps we'll just give you the barony of your own village, and you can erect your castle in your own garden. (We need those castles to keep out the Welsh and the peasants you see.)

kate (kate), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:18 (twenty-one years ago)

B-but I am Welsh! *weeps*

C J (C J), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:18 (twenty-one years ago)

(and possibly a peasant too)

C J (C J), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:19 (twenty-one years ago)

oops!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh no! Fie! Out of here! ::stand on chair and shrieks::

And We let you cook Us a royal omelette! You're secretly trying to kill Us, aren't you?

kate (kate), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:20 (twenty-one years ago)

All that build up and excitement and it's all over in half an hour. See you at seven then.

Davel (Davel), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:21 (twenty-one years ago)

quickly hides the small bottle of Arsenic

No, no, no! Here, try some more omelette! Smother it with lots of ketchup and it will taste sweeter....

C J (C J), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:22 (twenty-one years ago)

All that build up and excitement and it's all over in half an hour

That sounds suspiciously like my sex life. Have you been snooping on me?

C J (C J), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Our Royal Taster has just dropped dead. To the dungeons with you!

(I knew I had a reason to always be suspicious of the Welsh.)

kate (kate), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Mmmm...dungeons!

C J (C J), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:25 (twenty-one years ago)

And no parties with the Princes in the Tower, neither!

kate (kate), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:26 (twenty-one years ago)

You're no fun.

I will go and be a Domestic Goddess now, since it's half past ten and I've done nothing yet.

C J (C J), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Off with her head! Off with her head!!!

(Off ILE with you! Enjoy your freedom while we here slave away...)

Her Royal Highness Queen Kate (kate), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Dave I thought you'd be used to that hun?!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Half an hour what do you think I am marathon man??

Davel (Davel), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:41 (twenty-one years ago)

*sniggers*

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Half an hour is quite usual, if it includes 29 minutes of begging first.

C J (C J), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:45 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought that include tv aswell?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Our royal mind is being perverted by the dirtines of this place. We read that as "begging and fisting".

Her Royal Highness Queen Kate (kate), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Is there such a thing as sex without the tv as well??

C J (C J), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 10:48 (twenty-one years ago)

I have heard rumours!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 11:00 (twenty-one years ago)

by Fleetwood Mac?

C J (C J), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 11:02 (twenty-one years ago)

now you're talkin

the surface noise (electricsound), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 11:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Fleetwood Mac with Pete Green in it or I'm not playing!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 11:15 (twenty-one years ago)
