I've been thinking of altering my username as well. I still want to use Tuomas because it's my real first name, but I want it to have some sort of an attribute, like "Kate the Saint" or "Big Gay Mark". What should it be?

Tuomas, you are SO Finn -- check the nudity and menstruation threads for proof.

Jeanne Fury (Jeanne Fury), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 16:42 (twenty-two years ago)

We are trying to think of titles, but erm, all of the good ones ("Spymaster" and "Lord Of The Tyburn Gallows" etc.) have all been taken.

Her Royal Highness Queen Kate (kate), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 16:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm a product of the Finnish society, yes, but I have few of the personality traits usually associated with Finns.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 16:43 (twenty-two years ago)

What about...

Tuomas! He's gonna make you smile. (Chris Piuma), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 16:43 (twenty-two years ago)

(i.e. he is not a miserable bastard!)

(Apologies to any other Finns out there. It was HSA wot said it, not me!)

Her Royal Highness Queen Kate (kate), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 16:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Thus far, I like Horace's suggestion most. I don't want the name to be too long.

I like.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 16:49 (twenty-two years ago)

*applauds "Tuomas For the Memories"*

*would suggest "Dr. T and the Women" [older picture thread as inspiration] but that was a crap movie and should only be suggested to to someone unlikeable*

Tuomas is a wicked name as it's unique (on this board) and yet it's your real name so when people address you you feel neither dull nor like a tsranger on a mask.

Alternatively, have you considered CockMaster 2000?

Mark C (Mark C), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 22:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Muomas.

L(E^24) (Leee), Thursday, 6 November 2003 05:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh and hey, how about Huckleberry?

L(E^24) (Leee), Thursday, 6 November 2003 05:41 (twenty-two years ago)

seems like there'd be lots of possibilities involving Suomi if I only knew how it was pronounced...

"S" and "m" are pronounced like in English, "u" like the o's in the word "cool", "o" like the o in the word "Colt" and "i" like the i in the word "killer". "A Finn" would translate to "suomalainen", but I won't even try to make you pronounce that...

Hoiwever, as I said, I don't want my name to refer to my Finnishness, as much as I like the names "Errol Finn" and "Finn Diesel". So unless anything better comes by, I'm sticking to "Tuomas For the Memories".

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 6 November 2003 08:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Which letter in Tuomas is an i?

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Thursday, 6 November 2003 13:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I told him how the spell the word "Suomi" ("Finland" in Finnish), not "Tuomas".
