inspired by my finding THIS http://www.windycitygaynaturists.org/ just now when I searched for "jackhammer" on google images [do it yourself! I promise!]

er. [go to Calendar and Events bwahaha]

I wonder if this is just my bad luck; stuff like this always happens to me. If it hasn't happened to you, have a go, and take care.

Speaking of sites you'd rather not have found....

Once, a poster somewhere gave us a website involving a young woman who worked in a clinic specializing in rehabilitating amputees. I gathered she became obsessed when her boyfriend who worked there became involved romantically with one of the amputees. Instead of looking at her as a threat, she seemed to want to become her.

Anyway, the entire site was dedicated to her expressed desire and plan on becoming a double amputee. She supposedly was planning on pulling this off (no pun intended) by feigning an accident of sorts (how does one fake an accident that conveniently (?) causes the loss of both arms?)...

Creepily, she included photos of herself posing with her prosthetics of choice, complete with model number, etc.

I'm not sure why but the site really creeped me out for days. If it was some kind of sick put on it was soooooo elaborate and so sincere.

Weird.

I've been too diplomatic even though my diplomacy kept getting me yelled at on the "sauna" thread. The Windy City Naturist link illustrates in graphic terms that fat people should stay at home until they lose weight. Then they should do sit ups and chin ups, and then FINALLY they can be allowed to go to the bowling alley nude. There's no excuse for those paunches.

Skottie, Thursday, 6 November 2003 23:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Now, do you feel better after letting that out?

(Most of those guys arent even that fat... I wonder what's your definition of a "normal" body?)

Tuomas (Tuomas), Friday, 7 November 2003 07:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Hi Tuomas! I thought it would make me feel better, but I still loathe myself even after posting that. I'm going to go eat some chocolate chip cookies and then throw up and go to the gym. HELLLLPPPP MEEEEE!!!!!

well proportioned bodies:

i'd put all the various pictures of murder scenes available online in the "i wish i hadn't found that" category. they're all out there! i ran into some of dahmer's recently: talk about something being wrong with naked gay men, expecially when they're cut in half and you remember the movie.

This site is the epitome of "I wish I hadn't found that." Oh, my eyes!

This one I just called Redbird

ed dill>>> About amputee site - I saw a documentary on Discovery couple of weeks ago about 1 woman who wanted both her legs chopped off and 1 man who settled for one leg - it was really creepy all of it - the guy almost got his surgery done at some British private clinic - they filmed his sessions with a psychiatrist and all - but the clinic backed out last minute. It all ended with the woman describing how she'd attempted to jump in front of a train to get her legs cut off but had eventually chickened out. Definitely the strangest documentary I've ever seen.

Hanna (Hanna), Friday, 7 November 2003 09:57 (twenty-one years ago)

I think instead of criticizing these people who want to chop up their bodies, we should applaud and support them for taking active steps to bravely fashion their lives and their bodies in a life-positive way.

Uh...they're sick and so is the doctor who would chop off a healthy limb. Dr. Kevorkian to thread, or at least, Dr. Bombay!

Skottie, Friday, 7 November 2003 10:04 (twenty-one years ago)

I wonder how bemused people who are born without limbs or lose them to landmines or what have you are by those types.

Sarah Pedal (call mr. lee), Friday, 7 November 2003 10:08 (twenty-one years ago)

It's like the Ellen Jamesians in Garp. At the time, that seemed like a crazy metaphor, but, now...

Skottie, Friday, 7 November 2003 10:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Some of those people should be slapped around with the prostheses of a thalidomide baby or two. Sorry, I try to be open-minded, but shit like this is unbearably obnoxious.

Sarah Pedal (call mr. lee), Friday, 7 November 2003 10:15 (twenty-one years ago)

I am always weary of threads where ppl refer to it on other unrelated threads with comments like 'oh god i wish i'd never seen that' because I cannot help but click on it. One of the threads i clicked on 'america's scariest criminal' i think it was, where there was a pic of a scary ass guy. His face haunted me for a while afterwards, I was so sure he was gonna be in my house in the middle of the night. but then maybe that's just me.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 7 November 2003 10:23 (twenty-one years ago)

The oddest thing about the limb chopping documentary was the psychiatrist. The woman went, "uh, no, well, I've never had a boyfriend", and "uh, well I don't really do much in my spare time but sitting at home and I don't have any friends but, I just KNOW all that's going to change if I could just have my legs cut off" and the psychiatrist went "yeah, this woman seems perfectly healty and happy and does not seem to have any problems except for the legs thing so let's just go ahead and chopp'em".

???!

Hanna (Hanna), Friday, 7 November 2003 10:32 (twenty-one years ago)

!!!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 7 November 2003 10:33 (twenty-one years ago)

So having the legs off helps you get laid, huh? Why didn't someone tell me this years ago? :-/

ChrissieH (chrissie1068), Friday, 7 November 2003 13:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Somewhere out there, David Cronenberg is taking notes...

Miggie (Miggie), Friday, 7 November 2003 14:41 (twenty-one years ago)

You know, cutting off one's leg is a quick way to shed a lot of weight...

Sarah McLusky (coco), Friday, 7 November 2003 14:52 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm so there!
