Interesting. Also have an ear infection right now and had to cancel a flight to Barcelona tomorrow because of it. There you go.

Yeah - don't do that. I did it once when I was 13 and still have the perforated eardrum to show for the disaster that ensued.

Guys, thanks. Encouragement for the cancellation most appreciated, as this would have been a very cool weekend on behalf of my company and I now ended up here drinking beer, crunching antibiotics and almost tell myself it's getting better by the minute and what if I would just try tomorrow... nah, free weekend now after all.

Ear infections in both ears (which started as pink eye). I ended up going to a Walgreens walk-in clinic on Saturday because I couldn't get any appointments with my regular doctor or a specialist. The nurse gave me a long lecture about how people often come in claiming to have ear infections when they just have colds that make their ears clog up, so don't be surprised if she looks at my ears and they look totally healthy. Then she looked in my ear and said, "Oh, no that is really bad." Then she looked in the other ear and said, "Oh wow, okay, that one is really bad, too."
I was a polite patient and did not say, "Well, duh."
Anyway. I am taking massive doses of amoxicillin.

condolences. always a good idea to eat some live-culture yoghurt every day when taking massive doses of antibiotics, just so all the flora in your gut don't get destroyed as collateral damage.
