I'm about halfway through David Foster Wallace's "Everything and More" (his book on Georg Cantor and transfinite mathematics) and loving it so far, although it's pretty tough going in places. I am vaguely informed that some of the math is slightly dodgy; can someone tell me more? And is anybody else here reading it?

I think it was Toby who said the maths was bobbins. This is not that surprising, given the howlers in Infinite Jest.

The review in The New Yorker last week (by Jim Holt) went into some detail about sketchy math. Not online anymore, though, unfortunately.
