So now that he's apparently suing Yahoo! for trademark infringement, I think it's time to have a Yahoo Serious revival. Thoughts?

I have a horrible feeling that I may have lost my virginity after watching Young Einstein, it was either that or Highlander two.

Obviously if it was Y.E. then it didn't put me off too badly!

Well, why doesn't good ol Yahoo Serious sue Jonny Swift along with his current civil suit--afterall, the presence of "Yahoos" in Gulliver's Travels is a definite copyright infringement.

His second film, Reckless Kelly, is a strange work indeed. Man wears garbage can helmet, gots gadgets. It's like Superman 3, or Mac and Me. Almost like watching a movie, but something just not right..

maybe he shoudl be the next 007

adrian martin, my favourite film critic, gave his last movie a glowing review! then some other critics on a radio show called him on it and he was all "hey, I can say what I like if I want to, no-one else was at the preview screening! it's not like any of you watched it!"

As a small child, I was given the soundtrack to Young Einstein. It had pieces of dialogue from the film. It had BIG PIG.

No wonder I'm fucked up now.

gem (trisk), Wednesday, 8 February 2006 07:31 (nineteen years ago)

my first memory of a commercial is an ad for this movie, with the announcer going "yahoo serious IS...young einstein!!!" as if yahoo serious were a known commodity whose name would sell anything.

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Wednesday, 8 February 2006 07:52 (nineteen years ago)

i think i posted that exact same comment on another thread about this movie!

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Wednesday, 8 February 2006 07:53 (nineteen years ago)

I stopped watching young einstein when the dude started making that kitten pie. Too brutal for me.

phil!!, Wednesday, 8 February 2006 08:01 (nineteen years ago)

"Serious is currently working on an epic World War Two movie drama about how an overwhelmingly outnumbered and outgunned ragged bunch of Australian soldiers fought a fierce battle as part of the Kokoda Track Campaign which stopped the Japanese invasion of Australia; it is scheduled for filming in 2006."

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Wednesday, 8 February 2006 08:17 (nineteen years ago)

might be tricky to come up with a wacky pun to name that one

gem (trisk), Wednesday, 8 February 2006 08:24 (nineteen years ago)

Kokoda Kickass!

If it wasn't for the ground-breaking work of Yahoo Serious, there would never have been a Carrot Top.
