In the wake of some of my scandalous comments (and the furious reaction to same) on the Jessica Lynch Ad Nauseum thread, I was going to attempt to keep a lower profile on ILE, but two things have since changed that. For a start, upon further scrutiny and examination of the facts, I feel I may have been significantly in the wrong in regards to my hastey judgement of Ms.Lynch and her situation (as she is indeed revealing herself to be of more honest moxie). In any event, I think I may have also really put some people off with my vindictive flippancy, and I feel bad about that. I was wrong and indeed being a bit stupid (certainly not the first time), and I'd like to apologize.

Secondly, despite being in a bit of a vocational tailspin at the moment and truly sick of my job, I received some truly great news today that has significantly lifted the black, brooding cloud over my head. We got the results back from my wife's Amniocentesis today (three days early) and we got the all clear, meaning that our unborn baby is healthy, normal, fine and perfect. I'm on a cloud as a result!

Hurrah! This is fine news indeed, Alex. :-) And hey, trust me, the amount of misjudgements at the top of my lungs that I make could fill a book...

Congratulations, that's great! Amnios = scary, even to watch. At least for me.

I don't know if anyone has ever watched a sonogram expert, but they are magicians as far as I can tell.

*green-black smears streak across monitor*

Sonogramer: "And there is the leg, and the arm and hand, and oh! Look, it's smiling and waving at us, isn't that cute.!"

Hunter: *utterly mystified* "Uhhhh, yeah, cool."

Congrats from us too Alex :) That is so wonderful to hear.

Have you decided on possible name choices yet?
