Hah! What I like is that you can add to the database.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 15 November 2003 00:49 (twenty-one years ago)

excellent

Mike Hanle y (mike), Saturday, 15 November 2003 04:37 (twenty-one years ago)

This needs waaaaaay more words before it's really useful. No "hand"? No "there's"? No "cock"?!

Casuistry (Chris P), Saturday, 15 November 2003 05:35 (twenty-one years ago)

But see, you can suggest song choices! This is your chance to build on what is there!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 15 November 2003 05:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Yup. I'll check in again in 6 months.

Casuistry (Chris P), Saturday, 15 November 2003 05:48 (twenty-one years ago)

I guess I could suggest one of my own songs for, like, "Saskatoon" or "euglena" or something, though.

Casuistry (Chris P), Saturday, 15 November 2003 05:48 (twenty-one years ago)

See. Contribute to humankind's knowledge!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 15 November 2003 05:57 (twenty-one years ago)

This thing is amazing! It's almost TMBG-esque. Pity I'm on such a slow modem at the moment.

Trayce (trayce), Saturday, 15 November 2003 06:02 (twenty-one years ago)

It's also really reminiscent of various other things, such as John Oswald's "Plunderphonics" work. But it's cool

Casuistry (Chris P), Saturday, 15 November 2003 06:05 (twenty-one years ago)

I discovered this the other day (via a link from the b3ta site), and I have been adding to the database like a crazy woman for the past 48 hours. It is so addictive.

I can't find a link they can use to a well-known song with the word 'kittens' in it though. Anyone know one?

C J (C J), Saturday, 15 November 2003 09:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Awesome. Just to be completely generic, I typed in "I love you, girl," and was pleased to find that "I" came from Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" and "girl" came from Urge Overkill's "Girl You'll Be a Woman Soon."

jaymc (jaymc), Saturday, 15 November 2003 09:54 (twenty-one years ago)

There's a fine Underworld tune called Kittens, CJ.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 15 November 2003 12:09 (twenty-one years ago)

two weeks pass...
"Cats and Kittens" - Monkberry moon delight from "Ram" McCartney.

Or less obscurely....

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 1 December 2003 16:27 (twenty-one years ago)

that chris isaak one gets irritating after a while.

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 1 December 2003 16:29 (twenty-one years ago)

'Pussy' is funny. Tom Jones.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Monday, 1 December 2003 16:31 (twenty-one years ago)

i had to say "cat boy" and "cat girl" in my song cos they had no "kitten". sheesh.

g-kit (g-kit), Monday, 1 December 2003 16:34 (twenty-one years ago)

i suggested "Country Road" by john denver for the word "c*nt" i dunno if that's allowed though.
