Would London be a better place if they'd never got rid of the tramps?

When I was little there used to be tramps and they would wear suit, hats and suchlike.

Cambridge would be better if they got rid of the agressive drunks!

Tramps aren't anywhere near as well dressed as they used to be! I blame the Torys!

There used to be atramp in Edgware that would eat berries and spit parts of them out on the pavement all the time. And then there was "the jogger"-everyone said he used to be a dentist until his wife was killed and he went mad with grief, so he started running everywhere in just an old pair of Adidas shorts, carrying a plank of wood with him.

we must now import tramps to ann arbor, along with the other sluts, harlots, and jezebels. The customs duties alone are enough to break the economy.

Where did they put the tramps?

Nemo (JND), Tuesday, 18 November 2003 15:49 (twenty-one years ago)

is there a difference between a tramp and a hobo?

colette (a2lette), Tuesday, 18 November 2003 16:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Hobos are naturally cheerful.

And hobos carry a bindle.

Nemo (JND), Tuesday, 18 November 2003 16:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought Hobos had to travel on trains, while Tramps travelled on foot. Or, erm, something.

T/S: Bibs vs Dickies

Jeremy the Kingfish (Kingfish), Tuesday, 18 November 2003 18:42 (twenty-one years ago)

When eating pie stolen from a window ledge, a bib.

For those cold nights in a boxcar, a dickie.

You keep the one you're not using in your bindle.
