Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 11:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh god, the pet cat screensaver that used to claw up your spreadsheets. When I was Sys Admin, I had to ban them cause they irritated me so much after a few days.

Novelty alert sounds are pretty bad.

There used to be a program for Macs called "CrazyLights" or something and its only function was to make the little LED lights on your keyboard blink on and off really fast in a random pattern. I've never seen anything better than that.

black background web pages - but that's more like five or six years ago.

Kim (Kim), Thursday, 20 November 2003 03:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Tiled image background web pages, even more so. "ooh look, my website looks as if it is floating on water!". Ugh.

Trayce (trayce), Thursday, 20 November 2003 03:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Rotating desktops- my ancient powerbook had a shareware control panel or something that would change the desktop every hour or so, and I thought it was really neat. Now it kind of annoys me- I haven't turned on the OS X version in a while. Too depressing to be at work, and see a photo come up & think "gee I saw that one this morning" & be reminded how many hours you've been working.

lyra (lyra), Thursday, 20 November 2003 05:01 (twenty-one years ago)

The sheet. Seconded (only 5 years late)
