Why resist, indulge yourself.

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:32 (twenty-one years ago)

If that's aimed at me, fuck off.

Citizen Kate (kate), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:33 (twenty-one years ago)

There's a difference between starting a pointlessly inflammatory thread and deliberately starting an argument on a harmless thread.

Marcello Carlin, Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Is this another Pop Idol thread?

Alex K (Alex K), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Aw bless, this must be all new to Enrique.

Bless.

Sarah (starry), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:36 (twenty-one years ago)

exactly alex -- what's this lot on about?

it's be the mulleted one, won't it?

enrique (Enrique), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:36 (twenty-one years ago)

There is a lot that I really, really, really want to say right now, but I'm resisting it for the sake of peace on this board, and not upsetting myself. I'm going to the shops to clear my head.

Citizen Kate (kate), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I would love to do a kind of cluster diagram for a Marcello explosion and triggering chain reactions one day.

Sarah (starry), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Fuck you Enrique!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It'll be the, uh, other one.

Alex K (Alex K), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh let's just walk away from it. I don't think I'll ever understand Kate and I really don't think at the moment that it's healthy for her to be communicating with me, nor me with her. So as far as ILx is concerned, we're like two hostile neighbours in the Deep South who will just ignore each other. With any luck.

Marcello Carlin, Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:39 (twenty-one years ago)

everyone i know wants it to be suzanne, which is clearly middle-class bias.

enrique (Enrique), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Suzanne is frightful. They're all pretty awful - I only saw it for the first time last week. As long as it's not Chris.

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Hatfields and McCoys C or D?

A Girl Named Sam (thatgirl), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:48 (twenty-one years ago)

I really, really like pie. Yum.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:49 (twenty-one years ago)

MERINGUE

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Dan Perry? Aren't you in 'Phoenix Nights'?

Patrick Kinghorn, Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:51 (twenty-one years ago)

I like kitten pie!

Marcello Carlin, Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah but they're hard to persuade to actually stay in the pie crust when you put them in the oven.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Aren't you in 'Phoenix Nights'?

????

Not unless I was kidnapped and drugged at the time. What is "Phoenix Nights" (and can I get residuals from it even though I don't know what it is)?

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:52 (twenty-one years ago)

that's inhumane; you have to at least drug them first.

enrique (Enrique), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:53 (twenty-one years ago)

maybe get Jesse Ventura to sit on them?

Marcello Carlin, Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Not unless I was kidnapped and drugged at the time

This is your cheap excuse EVERY TIME another LoveMonsterDan DVD is released. It got old after the twentieth time at least.

maybe get Jesse Ventura to sit on them?

I suppose I could pay him the whole $12.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah but they're hard to persuade to actually stay in the pie crust when you put them in the oven.

you must bind their little paws with spaghetti

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:54 (twenty-one years ago)

It's a sit-com set in Bolton. Peter Kay.

Patrick Kinghorn, Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Not too heavily cooked, mind, they'll tear through that.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:56 (twenty-one years ago)

An excellent starting point!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Don't forget to put a little money in the oven to push the kittens back in the pie if they try any funny business.

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:56 (twenty-one years ago)

money = monkey

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Waste of good pasta.

Still we could always cook a pithy journalist pie!

Marcello Carlin, Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:57 (twenty-one years ago)

The kittens' fatal avarice is so cute!

(oh bother xpost)

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 15:58 (twenty-one years ago)

smee (smee), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Eek. I hope I got paid buckets of ducats for that.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Ouch.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:02 (twenty-one years ago)

This thread makes me think of a kid lying on their bed, their fingers in their ears, singing loudly to theirself, while their parents fight in the next room.

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Would it help if I placed my fingers in your ears instead?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:03 (twenty-one years ago)

its 'Den' Perry in Phoenix Nights

Fuzzy (Fuzzy), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Its about kitten cookery and northern sitcoms now, feel our powers of mutation

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:03 (twenty-one years ago)

methinks Dan would LOVE Phoenix Nights

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Wasn't Den Perry the bad guy anyway?

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:04 (twenty-one years ago)

This thread makes me think of a kid lying on their bed, their fingers in their ears, singing loudly to theirself, while their parents fight in the next room.

otm, it wasn't really about pop idol

enrique (Enrique), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:05 (twenty-one years ago)

That's what you think it's about, but underneath there's still a volcano of sexual tension and heated words waiting to erupt.

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:05 (twenty-one years ago)

One thing I'm not loving is that cardigan.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:05 (twenty-one years ago)

That's what you think it's about, but underneath there's still a volcano of sexual tension and heated words waiting to erupt.

Well Dan and Ned will just have to restrain themselves, then, won't they?

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:06 (twenty-one years ago)

if felicity is about I'd like to point out that that's the other reason I'm suspicious of pringle, its twinsets and pearls of acrylic with stringback driving gloves.

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:07 (twenty-one years ago)

MY PASSION WILL NOT BE RESTRAINED. Besides, Dan looks sexy in that cardigan. Er, wait.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Third from the left is Den Perry - I think...

smee (smee), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:08 (twenty-one years ago)

the one in the middle surely?

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:09 (twenty-one years ago)

sorry, you meant third picture, not third person.

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I am wearing a pringle jumper.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 16:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Hello, fellas! All your jokes are crap.

Jerry "The Saint" St. Dignan, Wednesday, 19 November 2003 22:30 (twenty-one years ago)

they're not jokes

ethereal cereal (Jody Beth Rosen), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 22:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh I have no digicam, but I'll try soon! It's fucking cool, very golf.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 23:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Was it expensive?

Mary (Mary), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 23:17 (twenty-one years ago)

not too bad actually, it was like 60 euro, I think it was originally 90. It's navy with light blue and white bits on the front, kind of diamonds but not quite

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 23:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Where did you get it?

Mary (Mary), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 23:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I love reading threads like this and having NO FUCKING IDEA what "tension" or disagreements anyone is talking about. Ya bunch of weirdos.

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 19 November 2003 23:53 (twenty-one years ago)

This is why I started talking about pie.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 20 November 2003 00:02 (twenty-one years ago)

WHEN COME BACK BRING SENSE.

(not you Dan obv)

Trayce (trayce), Thursday, 20 November 2003 00:05 (twenty-one years ago)

yes, Dan. please check your sense at the door.

oops (Oops), Thursday, 20 November 2003 00:08 (twenty-one years ago)

I probably should because I've been all sensitive and shit today for no reason. (Actually there is a reason but it isn't a good one.)

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 20 November 2003 00:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't know if you've been too sensitive or not, but your sense is much appreciated.

BOOMERANG!

J (Jay), Thursday, 20 November 2003 00:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Walk the edge of America.
A concrete beach to scrape my head,
Inside the subway stinking fear and shame becomes the violent breath.

Vigilantes out on dawn patrol, but now there's nothing left to hide.
I'm just a number on the metal fence which marks the great divide.

(sing it)

Hey boy give your dreams a rest, if you're tired of searching...
This is where it ends, there's nothing left to lose nothing to protest
Learn to love your anger now, anger here is all you possess...
Welcome to the edge

Below the towers of the citadel,
Seems someone overlooked the cost.
Forgotten soldier of paradise, now paradise is lost.

Recognition never realised,
Salvation lost among the crowd.
So tell me here beside the sterile sea where is your nation now?

(we say)

Hey boy give your dreams a rest, if you're tired of searching...
This is where it ends, there's nothing left to lose nothing to protest
Learn to love your anger now, anger here is all you possess...
Welcome to the edge

Pancakes For Breakfast! (Dee the Lurker), Thursday, 20 November 2003 05:07 (twenty-one years ago)

I got it in the golf section of a big department store over here, it's really great. Any other questions? It is currently on the floor of my room. It has a v-neck and is very warm. I am scared of it shrinking so it is awkward to wash.

It looks good with jeans. I was at the pub recently and someone called it "the christmas jumper"!!!

Any more questions Mary? that's fairly comprehensive isn't it?

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 20 November 2003 20:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Do not wash your Pringle sweater. You can have it dry cleaned but it's probably not necessary. You should come join us on the Fall Fashion, parts 1,2, and 3 threads, Ronan Pringle.

Mary Pringle (Mary), Thursday, 20 November 2003 20:08 (twenty-one years ago)

haha I am so broke I haven't bought anything since summer, I really want new coat : ( the zip on my parka is broken and it no longer zips up. I don't know of any zip repairmen either. brrrr

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 20 November 2003 20:13 (twenty-one years ago)

never wash jumpers nor trousers who are you?
