OK, there are "true" ghost stories involving telephones, tape recorders, CCTV (the wispy thing at the start of The X-Files is a "real" video ghost: ie not filmed specially by the X-Filrs foax); there's even that stupid Three Men and a Baby ghost story.

But where are the urban legends of the net? Has a friend of a friend been emailed from the "other side"?

What Three Men and a Baby Ghost story? I must have missed that one.

It's not a ghost story but I do seem to have had some very weird coincidences with one web-friend of mine. First conversation we ever had, we both used the same rather unusual word in un-related sentences to each other at the exact same time - a little weird anyway - there have been other things too but that's all personal and shit, so...

Not email, but a technological spook nonetheless, I received a fax on Tuesday, September the 11th 2001, exact time 8:45am (same zone as NY), titled by some horrible odd chance "Murder, Mayhem, and the Media - Day 1". I noticed it a little later that day and was like, "whoah, fuck me...".

Kim, there's a scene in Three Men And A Baby where you can see a "ghostly figure" supposedly that of a young boy who died in the apartment where the film was shot. However, the film wasn't shot in an apartment but on soundstages and it isn't a ghost, it's a lifesize cardboard cutout of Ted Danson (which is obviously MUCH scarier). That is the Three Men And A Baby ghost story.

When I was little, my friend's mum really really believed it was a real ghost and refused to allow my friend to watch it.

Oh so true, Ted Danson is the willies personified.

Wow, that just doesn't sound right.

The model for that cut-out pictured above was killed by a drunk driver. Hence the inspiration.
