After viewing the latest matrix installment, I am very worried. Many people have complained that among its short-comings, the ending is especially vague. I think I know why.
The answer is simple and I laughed at how sly the studios have become when I thought of it. Why is the ending so vague? So that they can make the DVD have like 40 different f$%*ing endings and charge ten times what a dvd is supposed to cost! What the interests behind the matrix and lord of the rings trilogy's mean by "DVD experience" is that the movie is just a hook. Maybe its their way of combating bootlegging. Whatever their motives, I fear that this is a trend and they will essentially start chopping off the endings of huge movies, the film version of the "to be continued...".
