and no cracks about throwing up or starving yourself. (former disorder-er. not funny.)

why not just smother in vaseline and cocoa?

Were I you, I'd just exercise to tone what flab you have, instead of subjecting yourself to some strenuous bullshit quick-fix remedy that'll probably leave you feeling too shitty to have fun with OG. A half-hour a biking a day each day, or a nice walk, and some push-ups & sit-ups. That's my recommendation.

Of course, given Hanle y's omniscient brilliance, maybe you should listen to him.

thanks david. i was going to add "also, how?" but i guess y'all understood. me and exercise do not get along, alas; even at my thinnest, i'm invariably outta shape.

i *am*, however, taking mike's idea under advisement.

Hey, Jess. When exactly are you visiting? I'm flying back down to Orange County from Oct 18th to the 22nd (airport sanity permitting).. If you have a spare day outside this range, and you want to swing up to Seattle during your stay, wanna get coffee or somethin'?

It can be done, but I'm afraid it would do some pretty harmful things to your body.

It would be best to excercise & drink plenty of water, but don't do anything silly. If this girl likes you I'm sure 15 lbs. is not going to make that big a difference anyway. I'm aware that comes off very "advice columnist", but it's still true.

Can't help but hear the Boos' "Wish I was Skinny" humming in the background... Sorry for asking, but *why* exactly must there be some weight losing? Did you lie about it? Or you merely want to look *better*?

15 lbs is not enough to do the polka about, surely? Its an amount which will feel less consequential with just a sturdy resolve to eat better/exercise more.

Grandma's weight loss remedy " I tbsp blood in Vischy water"

50 sit ups a day for the first week, followed by 100 a day for the next. And about half an hour (at least) of fast walking per day. Also utilise the Ally cook diet - supernoodles every day, sometimes with tinned mackerel. That lost me about ten pounds in two weeks.

I was poor and flabby at the time, now I have less belly but need to lose more so I'm finally joinng the gym on Friday, then I will be able to push the max envelope or whatever.

*sssnnifff*... no, you eat, really, I'm not hungry, go ahead.

Sean, Monday, 8 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Walk to work (if possible)...drink lots of water. Good luck dude...but don't feel too pressured!

jel, Monday, 8 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i sit and write this after eating a big nasty bowl of chili for lunch.

nah, i'm not really worried. this is just typical jess paranoia. i really need to lose around 30 lbs altogether to be at a comfy weight for myself (6-10 mos. of sitting on your ass freelancing will do that to you), and i just figured 15 will be a more reasonable goal for two weeks. (hah!) i'm sure she won't care (being the jolly green giant i can pull off a little extra poundage okay), but i've been feeling fairly shitty about the whole thing recently anyway...
