What couldn't you live without?

I am not talking people here, more inanimate objects.
What thing do you use everyday & would be lost without it? It possibly improves your life, but it doesn't have to.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 21 November 2003 13:49 (twenty-one years ago)

I would have to say lip balm. I use so much of it & hate not having any.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 21 November 2003 13:50 (twenty-one years ago)

CD player.

Chris B. Sure (Chris V), Friday, 21 November 2003 13:52 (twenty-one years ago)

cd player. any one of my computers.

the surface noise (electricsound), Friday, 21 November 2003 13:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Nothing, really.

Archel (Archel), Friday, 21 November 2003 13:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, realistically, with no exaggeration, I can't think of any inanimate object I couldn't live without. Though obviously, there's some hyperbole going on here, so I would say literature.

NA (Nick A.), Friday, 21 November 2003 13:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I agree with NA and Archel. I have a hard time thinking of anything material that would be indispensable to me.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 21 November 2003 13:56 (twenty-one years ago)

(Oh my god I am so shallow!) *sobs*

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 21 November 2003 13:58 (twenty-one years ago)

My Zippo. And I'm trying to quit smoking right now. I always sued to think that people who had Zippos and were all religious about them were wankers *until* my ex gave me one. They are flawless (cept for the fact that they're no good for lighting candles on a birthday cake as my burnt hands will testify to). I guess I have a big future in pyromania, or in lighting other folks' fags.

Oh yeah, and my spectacles as well. That would be problematic.

Oh yeah oh yeah, and my copy of The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry which I have been reading repeatedly since I was given it last weekend.

neil simpson (neil simpson), Friday, 21 November 2003 13:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh ok my glasses. And my poems but they are on my work computer so... my work computer.

Archel (Archel), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:02 (twenty-one years ago)

I hate to be so shallow, but I've become very dependant on my mobile phone - not so much as a phone, but as an alarm clock and wristwatch! And this from the woman that hates mobiles! I could live without it, because I could get a wristwatch, but still.

Obviously my glasses and quite possibly my computer.

Citizen Kate (kate), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Ventolin, probably.

C J (C J), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Citizen Kate (kate), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:07 (twenty-one years ago)

gaz (gaz), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Vicky (Vicky), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 21 November 2003 15:00 (twenty-one years ago)

I seem to have misplaced some DVDs recently and I found myself worrying about that too much. Very wrong of me.

stevem (blueski), Friday, 21 November 2003 18:45 (twenty-one years ago)

CJ nails it for me, with the asthma inhalers (I need two). I can't imagine being without some sort of walkman as well, whether for CDs or tapes.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Friday, 21 November 2003 19:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Except for the iron tablets my things are the same as Kate's. I can do without my meds I'll just ping-pong between being a useless, depressed blob to a raging maniac. no biggie.

(oh and red nail polish. This is U&K)

A Girl Named Sam (thatgirl), Friday, 21 November 2003 19:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I lost my Burt's Bees last weekend and almost turned my aparment inside out looking for it. (It was the first time I had ever tried the brand. Sold.)

Jeanne Fury (Jeanne Fury), Friday, 21 November 2003 19:33 (twenty-one years ago)

teeny (teeny), Friday, 21 November 2003 19:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Dean Gulberry (deangulberry), Friday, 21 November 2003 19:47 (twenty-one years ago)

destroy all petroleum based lip products!

teeny (teeny), Friday, 21 November 2003 19:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Hmmm.. Maybe lotion. I use it all the time, especially on my feet after I get out of the tub. But also my cell phone as it's my main source of communication with my sisters and mom.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Friday, 21 November 2003 20:17 (twenty-one years ago)
