To me, star signs are a load of crap. Each one seems to represent a quality inherent in everyone - their genericity protects the system from falling apart. I wondered what it would take to cook up 7 different 'day signs' which would correspond to which day of the week you were born on.
I don't know a whole lot about what each star sign is supposed to represent. I'd like to know whether there are any two star signs that could not be applied to any one person. Could you look at a person's personality and say "there's no way that person could be a Gemini?"

you know the nursery rhyme about the birth days, right? here it is just in case:
Monday's child is fair of face,Tuesday's child is full of grace,Wednesday's child is full of woe,Thursday's child has far to go,Friday's child is loving and giving,Saturday's child must work for a living,But the child that's born on the Sabbath dayIs fair and wise and good and gay.
im a little confused as to how you plan to get a more specific analysis of personality by dividing people into 7 rather than 12 categories.
also, lets remember that astrology is based on the movements of the planets. days of the week are too, yes? maybe if you got down into years and seasons like astrology has sun, moon, rising, mars, venus etc. you ould get more specific. like looking at someone and saying 'well i know theryre a gemini but they act like a scorpio' and then you find out theyre a scorp rising and have two other planets in scorpio. you could say, well i know blah blah was born on a wednesday but hes SO gay youd think he was born on sunday. then you find out is was a wednesday in the winter of 1978 and you say 'ooooh!'

Just in case you couldn't tell, I was born on a Saturday. I think the person who wrote that nursery rhyme was seriously screwed by people who were born on Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and thus decided to get even with them via those little snide remarks. *rolls eyes*

and i'm a gemini.
the gemini thing seems more accurate than 'full of woe', which is really very rarely me. full of rage? yeah, sometimes. full of giggles? yep, got that. full of woe? not so much.
