Straight people have finally bowed down before their non-breeding over(gay)lords, Connie Chung is a robot, and Norm Macdonald's new show is really, really awful!

On HBO, you might or might not like Carnivale, which is about to wrap up but will probably be rerun; I love it, most people think it's too slow-paced, it's somewhere in the Twin Peaks/American Gothic genre, except period, set during the Depression. Everyone's who's seen The Wire seems to like it, but I haven't caught it yet.
Reality TV continues, with grand inertia and furious indifference.
I realized the other day that there aren't really any sitcoms that I watch anymore, and am sort of hoping I get some Soap DVDs for Christmas to make up for it :)
There's a recent thread on hour-long dramas that pretty much covered what's what in that area of broadcast TV.

Pardon my bout of insane laughter. Savor this, Dan (I don't say this v. often): "Apologies, Master Perry. I stand corrected...."

Sharpton is on SNL tonight though. Let's see what he can do.

Actually, I kind of noticed that watching the Bravo marathon over Thanksgiving (you'd mentioned it elsewhere).
It does kind of get 'dumber' when the President takes a more active role in the show, and when Sorkin started making every policy discussion is a recitation of facts and the usual arguments from both sides, rather than something, oh, realistic.
But it was still the best show on TV after that, just not as good as the first few.
Now, it's just cheesy.
