Can liquid paper go off? I'm sure it houldn't smell like wet smelly socks. The odour hangs around for half an hour too. I feel like throwing up.

Maybe it's some new additive to stop you sniffing it.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 00:32 (twenty-one years ago)

maybe someone topped it up smelly white glue so you wouldn't know they'd used nearly all of it

mark s (mark s), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 00:34 (twenty-one years ago)

you should sniff it several more times just to be sure, then if you have any model airplane glue see how that smells in comparison

jones (actual), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 00:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Have you considered covering all your mistakes in smelly white socks?

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 00:37 (twenty-one years ago)

you really shouldn't be sniffing that mr barrow

the surface noise (electricsound), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 00:42 (twenty-one years ago)

hang on hang on go previous.. this is the computer age!! for what possible purpose does liquid paper need to exist anymore?

the surface noise (electricsound), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 00:43 (twenty-one years ago)

For faxes, Jim. We still use faxes in this primitive office.

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 00:44 (twenty-one years ago)

I was wondering that when some of my colleagues ordered some the other day, jim. I didn't get a satisfactory answer. And I'm sure it slowed down the processing of my slide rule order.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 00:44 (twenty-one years ago)

i keep getting liquid paper on my abacus

the surface noise (electricsound), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 00:45 (twenty-one years ago)

My screen is covered in tippex from the time I didn't understand computers.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 00:47 (twenty-one years ago)

But aren't you printing what you fax from a computer, colin?
-- N. (nickdastoo...) (webmail), November 26th, 2003. (nickdastoor)

Yeah, but as a short cut I print out only the bits that go on every time, and make a few copies, and then fill in the missing bits by hand. And make an occasional mistake.

Woooo! I'm feeling good. REALLY good.

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 00:49 (twenty-one years ago)

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 01:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Salute me anyway and pay me tribute, since I was trying to find a less harsh way to describe my fellow jobless souls.

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 01:23 (twenty-one years ago)

The flea stuff I just put on my cats stinks like a perm. The other one I usually get smells kind of flowery.

A Girl Named Sam (thatgirl), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 01:53 (twenty-one years ago)

"I really wish you'd come to my gig, Mom, rather than messing around in the garage trying to make your new invention odourless. People won't mind if it stinks. Trust me".

MarkH (MarkH), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 12:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I distinctly remember doing a thread very similar to this (or maybe it was a pre-ILX interweb conversation...) asking WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU CALL COLOURED WHITE-OUT?!?!? Like you use for multi-sheet coloured accounting paper. Green-out? Pink-out?

(The first smartass English person to say "Coloured Tipex" will get a beatdown.)

Citizen Kate (kate), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 12:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Coloured Liquid Paper?

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 12:17 (twenty-one years ago)

why did they stop making Tippex Thinner??? The number of times my Tippex has gone crustose so that i unscrew the lid to LEAVE THE BRUSH STUCK IN THE BOTTLE you wouldn't believe.

MarkH (MarkH), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 12:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Someone left the cap loose on the White Out!!!!

smee (smee), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 12:54 (twenty-one years ago)

God, no wonder I have this amazing sense of deja vu today! I thought it was the painkillers. I keep thinking "Maaaan... I must be out of it, I keep thinking I've said this already..."

It's nice to know that I'm not going nuts, and it's not the painkillers, that we really have discussed all this before...
