interesting things found in factories

OK this is kind of a dumb question, but I want to spice up a project I'm doing. it's a demo of animation work. For presentation it's going to have a factory setting. There will be little worker guys and cranes and forklifts bringing in objects, like crates and sheets of glass. Every time one comes in, it will be kind of a frame for a little movie bit which will then fill the screen so you see the whole thing play. Then it will go back to the factory setting. There will also be a conveyer belt carrying things in and out of the scene like crates, boots, pies, and lobsters. Would anyone kindly like to suggest more neat objects to put in?

Going with the topic I also very much enjoy exploring smashed up old buildings. As long as they aren't full of toxic waste like some nearby. One of the more interesting things to be found is an inexplicable object- a big glass bubble, hanging from the ceiling, with a wax bottom, filled with water. A friend who knows antiques told me that it's a primitive form of a fire extinguisher system- if a fire ever starts it will heat up the wax bottom releasing the water. Cool huh?

I guess severed limbs are out of the question.

Depends on whose limbs they are.

I have a phrase you need to know:

You need to put in one of those clocking-in machines.

cheerily-playing string sections, like in a 50's industrial film.

giant gears

haha, giant gears ensnaring limbs. Yeah that Metropolis movie is really cool.

I might very well put in severed robot limbs. Real severed limbs are cool but too horror-movie to go over well for this particular jimmydealybop.

Thanks dudes!
