MarkH (MarkH), Thursday, 27 November 2003 10:33 (twenty-two years ago)

i had a TWIX bar

the surface noise (electricsound), Thursday, 27 November 2003 10:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Twix yesterday, maybe Time Out today, and i have some of that organic Green & Black stuff at home

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 27 November 2003 10:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I have mini toffee crisps, kitkats & aeros in my drawer'o'chocolate for later. I have After 8's and Green & Blacks at home.

smee (smee), Thursday, 27 November 2003 10:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm trying to be good an not eat any, but last night it was a couple of squares of some french stuff that we get on boozecruises form the hypermrket - it's dark chocolate with crunchy bits of almond, coffee and chilli in it - it's bloody lovely

chris (chris), Thursday, 27 November 2003 10:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Wow, Smee! I wish I worked in your office!

(Though maybe not, I've been trying to Be Good and I haven't had chocolate in several days.)

Citizen Kate (kate), Thursday, 27 November 2003 10:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm now eating the last but one of my Traidcraft Fairtrade Chocolates (will someone find a snappier name for these please?) which are really nice - though I'm yet to work out whether there is any difference between the ones in gold wrappings and the ones in bronze wrappings.

MarkH (MarkH), Thursday, 27 November 2003 10:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Everyone in my office comes to me for chocolate coz I've always got a stash, I like always having it for emergencies!

smee (smee), Thursday, 27 November 2003 10:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I finished off a Dolfin milk with hot masala last night, which was great, but not as good as their milk with cinnamon or dark with Earl Grey.

I am now chocolate-less, though.

Tep (ktepi), Thursday, 27 November 2003 15:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I had a "Kinder Maxi" or whatever today.
It's basically Kinder Egg chocolate turned into a nice small bar. Yummm, AND you don't have to waste money on that invariably boring toy inside. It's still expensive though.

Øystein H-O (Øystein H-O), Thursday, 27 November 2003 15:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Euw kinder egg chocolate is horrible. Sorry, i guess you like it though!

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Friday, 28 November 2003 02:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Giving a product the initials KKK... classic or dud?

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Friday, 28 November 2003 02:15 (twenty-two years ago)

chocoteats

Eisbär (llamasfur), Friday, 28 November 2003 03:11 (twenty-two years ago)

god i ate too much chocolate and my stomach is all fucked up!

s1utsky (slutsky), Friday, 28 November 2003 03:12 (twenty-two years ago)

also too many of those lemon cookies that are like little sandwiches with a circle of slightly harder sugary lemon in the middle!! i know it's not chocolate but argh!!11

s1utsky (slutsky), Friday, 28 November 2003 03:17 (twenty-two years ago)

None today, but yesterday I had two of the KitKats I bought for Halloween thinking they were Twix. BTW, I had exactly one person come to my door that night, so I've got a lot of chocolate to eat.

nickn (nickn), Friday, 28 November 2003 03:55 (twenty-two years ago)

I will shortly be eating a Mars bar.

MarkH (MarkH), Friday, 28 November 2003 09:17 (twenty-two years ago)

will you slice it up into bits in a bid to avoid 'caramel lip'?

stevem (blueski), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:18 (twenty-two years ago)

no slicing required. it was fun size.

MarkH (MarkH), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Pah. Why are they called that? Small != fun when it comes to chocolate.

I am about to eat a chocolate chip cookie.

Archel (Archel), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I agree Archel. I didn't buy it tho - I won it in a game of bingo.

MarkH (MarkH), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Even worse!

Archel (Archel), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:31 (twenty-two years ago)

i haven't bought a chocolate bar in a couple days as i've been staying home sick.

i have been finishing off the chocolate chip cookie cake and cookies from tuesday. yum.

colette (a2lette), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not much of a chocolate freak but I have been enjoying some Ritter Sport Minis this evening.

M Matos (M Matos), Friday, 28 November 2003 11:16 (twenty-two years ago)

colette they were VERY chocolate chippy! nice tho

stevem (blueski), Friday, 28 November 2003 11:17 (twenty-two years ago)

There was chocolate chip cookie cake?

Dammit!

::curses stupid back muscles::

Citizen Kate (kate), Friday, 28 November 2003 11:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Colette, what's the matter? Is it post-party blues? I hope you don't have food poisoning ;)

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 28 November 2003 11:27 (twenty-two years ago)

no, just can't sleep because i cough when i'm horizantal, which makes it hard to get through the day because i keep falling asleep. and i'm lazy. and a bit bitter at my boss, who just never shows up at work.

chocolate chip cookie cake makes it better. maybe i'll get into the whole baking thing and make christmas cookies. and eat them all myself. mwah ha ha ha!

colette (a2lette), Friday, 28 November 2003 11:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Caramac isn't chocolate it's space food but it's what I've been craving.

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Friday, 28 November 2003 11:48 (twenty-two years ago)

I found out yesterday that white chocolate malteasers exist. This is JUST PLAIN WRONG.

MarkH (MarkH), Friday, 28 November 2003 11:55 (twenty-two years ago)

omg those cookies and the baked thing with orange icing on it the other night were just to-die-for heavenly. Oh god I'm drooling.

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 28 November 2003 12:28 (twenty-two years ago)

mark by wrong i think you mean entirely correct and necessary

stevem (blueski), Friday, 28 November 2003 12:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I have been trying to get through a bar of coffee chocolate that Ally C's granny gave me for the last month. It is so bad I can only eat it a square at a time. BUT this means I have found the solution to chocolate wolfing - buy something you can't stand and it lasts 4evah!

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 28 November 2003 12:38 (twenty-two years ago)

what is this weird Scottish granny chocolate of which you speak???

MarkH (MarkH), Friday, 28 November 2003 12:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Is it made from REAL SCOTTISH GRANNIES?!?!?

Citizen Kate (kate), Friday, 28 November 2003 12:43 (twenty-two years ago)

A brand name I've never heard of before, possibly from a market or maybe the (gulp) Savoy Centre. A layer of strong coffee-flavoured dark chocolate with a layer of white chocolate on the top. It's mince(d granny)

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 28 November 2003 12:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm eating some minstrels that I bought last night at the movie theatre but never ate.

Mandee (Jerrynipper), Friday, 28 November 2003 12:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Yesterday I had a M&M's chocolate brownie. They are vvvv nice!

Sarah (starry), Friday, 28 November 2003 12:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Wow sarah that sounds like heaven! I like the idea of this chocolate cookie cake.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 28 November 2003 13:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I cannot find white chocolate Maltesers ANYWHERE :(

I like the M&S layer chocolate bar with dark, milk and white. I don't like M&M brownies.

Archel (Archel), Friday, 28 November 2003 13:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I saw some the other day archel. If i see them again I'll buy some & send them to you!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 28 November 2003 13:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Yay! Brighton obviously thinks it is TOO GOOD for them grrr.

Archel (Archel), Friday, 28 November 2003 13:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Fox's Chocolate Crinkle Crunch with honeycomb bits on top, muthafuckas

stevem (blueski), Friday, 28 November 2003 13:14 (twenty-two years ago)

the baked thing with orange icing is indeed the cookie cake. it's basically a whole load of cookie dough, spread out on a jelly-roll pan and cut into squares.

there's a chain of places that make these in practically every mall in america. mrs. fields is the original, there are more now i think.

colette (a2lette), Friday, 28 November 2003 13:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I have this vision of an old folks tea dance and an old stevem starting a fight with those very words.....

smee (smee), Friday, 28 November 2003 13:16 (twenty-two years ago)

This week I have had chocolate hob nobs *sniggers* & chocolate digestives & they both royally rocked!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 28 November 2003 13:18 (twenty-two years ago)

they made Minstrels and Galaxy deliberately more girly to counter the big throbbing masculine drive of the Yorkie

stevem (blueski), Monday, 1 December 2003 10:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Not eating but drinking hot chocolate from the vending machine. It's probably 80 % sugar with some dried milk & water & artificial cocoa. Mmmm!

Hanna (Hanna), Monday, 1 December 2003 10:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes Stevem!! They come with a cocktail umbrella!

Sarah (starry), Monday, 1 December 2003 10:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Torte caprese (ULTIMATE CHOCOLATE CAKE) all weekend. Heart attack probably due tomorrow.

Archel (Archel), Monday, 1 December 2003 10:56 (twenty-two years ago)

hold on a minute, marathon with hazlenut = topic, no?

chris (chris), Monday, 1 December 2003 10:56 (twenty-two years ago)

we are all being offered white choc malteasers at the mo. They are getting a thumbs down from pretty well everyone. At first the malty honeycomb centre hits the tastebuds and then you think "hmm, just like a normal malteaser". But then all of a sudden you get a curious aftertaste, as if the centre is wrapped in lard rather than white chocolate. Not pleasant and not like a Milky Bar at all.

MarkH (MarkH), Monday, 1 December 2003 11:59 (twenty-two years ago)

SEND EM HERE

stevem (blueski), Monday, 1 December 2003 12:00 (twenty-two years ago)

have there ever been white Kitkats? i think every bar out there should have orange and white variants

stevem (blueski), Monday, 1 December 2003 12:01 (twenty-two years ago)

could be a tad tricky, seeing as I don't know where 'here' is. It seems the distribution of white choc malteasers is a bit like mobile phone reception - patchy.

MarkH (MarkH), Monday, 1 December 2003 12:02 (twenty-two years ago)

well, of course the distribution of the sweets themselves is patchy, we wouldn't all want to be trampling honeycomb centres underfoot wherever we went. But the distribution of outlets selling them is.

MarkH (MarkH), Monday, 1 December 2003 12:03 (twenty-two years ago)

How much sugar is in the dark chocolate I love so much?

Leee Majors (Leee), Monday, 1 December 2003 23:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Does it matter? Your teeth may complain, but the rest if you will rejoice.

Today: Super-bag of Peanut MMs

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Monday, 1 December 2003 23:22 (twenty-two years ago)

i've denounced the evil chocolate, well, until christmas (when i will eat so much that my legs start to shake). i was eating too much and i find it easier to not buy any at all than to just cut down a bit.

however, when i saw those aforementioned white maltezers in the shops i bought a packet and they now sit in my fridge where they will goad me until december 25th along with the green and black thing that was free in the observer that time.

um, i don't even like maltezers - chocolate shouldn't be crunchy.

At some point later today, chocolate raspberries. mmm.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 17:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Currently craving chocolate-covered pretzels -- white and milk and dark chocolate. Not the cheapo kind -- the kind in good chocolate stores. Holy bombastic orgasmness.

Jeanne Fury (Jeanne Fury), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 18:36 (twenty-two years ago)

McV choco digestives today

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 10:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I wanna bake space brownies. Has anyone tried this? We are tempted to serve our personnel some of'em but of course we don't want them to jump on our clients with hippie wuv. Today was another XL Lu day. We're also busy making a chocolate praline catalogue (for a Japanese firm). OH AH UH I want some of the speculoos chocolate. NOW.

nathalie (nathalie), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 10:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Space Brownies rock!

MarkH (MarkH), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 10:42 (twenty-two years ago)

brief hijack: anyone know where to buy diabetic chocolate in London? preferably near Liverpool Street/London Bridge stations...

CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 10:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry, not in london, but Boots used to stock diabetic chocolate.

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 10:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh & today I have eaten a chocolate muffin.

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 10:53 (twenty-one years ago)

I just had a piece of DARK chocolate Toblerone. It was good. I am going to have another right now.

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 10:55 (twenty-one years ago)

For some reason, half the offices at work have had boxes of chocolates lying about half-empty for the past couple of days. I think it's synchronicity; everyone suddenly decided to bring in chocolate at once.

caitlin (caitlin), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 10:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Has anyone tried the new Carte Dor (sp?) toblerone ice cream yet?

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 10:56 (twenty-one years ago)

OMG no, but now I must.

I don't eat chocolate very often but I take notions now and again. Today I have been eating homemade tablet.

Rumpy Pumpkin (rumpypumpkin), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 12:18 (twenty-one years ago)

tablet?

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 12:20 (twenty-one years ago)

ah choc chip muffins, home made style. yum-fucking-ey

Ste (Fuzzy), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 12:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, a crumbly brown sugary concoction made with condensed milk, sugar and a couple of other things. Left to set then cut into squares. A girl in the work made it - it's to die for.

Rumpy Pumpkin (rumpypumpkin), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 12:27 (twenty-one years ago)

i like the newish double decker.

DVD (dickvandyke), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 12:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Rumpy that sounds lovely!!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 12:34 (twenty-one years ago)

It is, terribly bad for the teeth though.

Rumpy Pumpkin (rumpypumpkin), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 12:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Laura Secord were having a wharehouse sale. We just walked home with 3 boxes and now have enough chocolate for the upcoming ice age.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 12:36 (twenty-one years ago)

The last Mars Delight and White Maltesers I'll get my hands on for 2 months. I have 2 boxes of Qulaity Street and a box of Celebrations with me, but I'm meant to give 'em away. Damn my health conscious-lifestyle.

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 12:41 (twenty-one years ago)

A Mars celebration and a Lindt vanilla thing out of a posh box. I could murder some tablet right now, though.

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 14:03 (twenty-one years ago)

I NEVER THOGHT I WOULD SEE THE DAY. I AM *OFF CHOCOLATE*. I did have a lone Snickers yesterday as I ran to my Japanese course, but I didn't enjoy it. I just feel meh about the whole thing really.

(AND YET, I am still fat. Not fair.)

Archel (Archel), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 14:07 (twenty-one years ago)

A snickers today!
Archel - if you are fat lady, god help me!!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 11:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I really like the tobacco chocolates from l'artisan du chocolate (sloane square).

marianna, Wednesday, 20 October 2004 12:41 (twenty-one years ago)

I have had no chocolage today, but I have bought Delia's Chocolate Collection for a fiver.

Madchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 15:20 (twenty-one years ago)

nearly half a tray of warm brownies last night. & a larger chocolate chip cookie from a farmers market last week. amazing, it was still fresh, soft and chewy after a few days later when i finished it

kephm (kephm), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 15:22 (twenty-one years ago)

three months pass...
just found a shop that is selling caramel kitkats. they also seem to have a new stock of the lemon yoghurt ones which i thought had gone forever, along with the blood orange ones. local co-op sells (christmas branded) (non-blood) orange kitkats. local sainsbury's sells mint kitkats and shop on king street has the lime ones. the white chocolate ones are still pretty much everywhere (but i don't like them). add to this the normal kitkats, the chunkies and the cubes i can eat a different kitkat every day of the week, and twice on sundays. (WHY?)

koogs (koogs), Tuesday, 15 February 2005 10:40 (twenty-one years ago)

looking closer, it's Caramac, not caramel. um, jury is out at the moment. they are a bit too sweet.

koogs (koogs), Tuesday, 15 February 2005 10:50 (twenty-one years ago)

i bought a 25p Toblerone last night. it's the first time i've had Tobe since the self-imposed ban for fear of my teeth. it was excellent but i'm still not allowed them.

Alienus Quam Reproba (blueski), Tuesday, 15 February 2005 10:53 (twenty-one years ago)

That melty Lindt LINDOR shit is the bomb.

Huey (Huey), Tuesday, 15 February 2005 14:10 (twenty-one years ago)

I want chocolate very much, but yesterdays headache + nausea fun which saw me having to go to bed at 7pm is threatening to return. Ideally, I would like some Dairy Milk. Actually, I'd eat anything. Damn my health, or something.

A Maverick (alix), Tuesday, 15 February 2005 14:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Dark Chocolate Dove hearts from Valentine's Day. Although yesterday I bought my wife a big dark chocolate bar from Equador, and while I was at it I bought myself one also, which I ate while reading ILX. So I really shouldn't be having any chocolate for awhile. Well, after this is gone, then I'll quit.
