when did the uncanny start over

I just started reading uncanny x-men. I used to watch the cartoon as a kid. my first issue is 423. I was told that they started a new story line but didn't know what issue it started. I want to catch up with the stroy line thanks

I think there is probably a misunderstanding in the question. I don't think the X-Men at Marvel has ever started over, except, and I suspect this is where it comes from, in that Marvel started a line called Ultimate whatever, which was starting again from scratch. Ultimate X-Men has been running for a couple of years, and is written by my old protege and pal Mark Millar. The Ultimates, his reworking of The Avengers, is even better.
