Hey, the coolest of my HS classmates, the ones I wanted to be able to emulate, could've been considered "goth". I thought they were the most awesome people and I secretly wanted to be that bold, that cool, that noticeable. I even befriended one of them. But the closest I got was being a New Romantic. Swooning to Ultravox does not a goth make.
