I spoke to Gillian Anderson this morning. She doesn't half sound British.

Markelby (Mark C), Monday, 1 December 2003 10:37 (twenty-one years ago)

That's because she is.

Ricardo (RickyT), Monday, 1 December 2003 10:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, I know. But does that mean that she puts on the American accent in the x-files?

Markelby (Mark C), Monday, 1 December 2003 10:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Gary Busey, Judge Reynhold

stevem (blueski), Monday, 1 December 2003 10:42 (twenty-one years ago)

No she was only born in Britain, surely and grew up in America? Her British accent doesnt sound very british if you ARE british.

anyway

Mark ruffalo, philip seymore hoffman.

jed (jed_e_3), Monday, 1 December 2003 12:29 (twenty-one years ago)

But I am British and when I spoke to her I at first assumed it couldn't be her because she sounded just British.

Markelby (Mark C), Monday, 1 December 2003 12:36 (twenty-one years ago)

sure it wasn't Gillian Anderson

ken c, Monday, 1 December 2003 12:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh I say. That really is a bit much you know. I would never deign to reply to such prattling tommyrot. Prey set the record straight forthwith or I may be pressed to engage the services of my advocates; Gingger and Rubbishe.

Gillian Anderson, Monday, 1 December 2003 13:07 (twenty-one years ago)

martha plimpton, amanda plummer, pruitt taylor-vince, john turturro, hope davis, parker posey, ossie davis, jane adams

ron (ron), Monday, 1 December 2003 14:06 (twenty-one years ago)

The cast of 'Gigli'.

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Monday, 1 December 2003 14:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Philip Baker Hall! I have him on my desktop at work but most people think he's just a random old man. But he's not!

I want to like Christopher Walken as an actor as much as I do as a personality. But when someone reckons "hobbies are for assholes" and openly admits they'll act in anything, just to keep busy, there's going to be a whole lot of dross in their back catalogue.

nickie (nickie), Monday, 1 December 2003 14:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Sean Fuckin' Connery, Robert Shaw, Michael Caine, Helen Mirren, Edward Woodward

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 1 December 2003 14:10 (twenty-one years ago)

I like it when rappers make their move towards film. (such as the timeless thespians DMX, Ice Cube, 2 Pac, Ice T, Vanilla Ice, Marky Mark to a lesser extent, etc.)

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Monday, 1 December 2003 14:17 (twenty-one years ago)

haha, alex likes 'em tuff.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 1 December 2003 14:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Tommy Lee Jones - has this man ever been in what could be considered a CLASSIC film?

stevem (blueski), Monday, 1 December 2003 14:51 (twenty-one years ago)

RJG (RJG), Monday, 1 December 2003 14:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 1 December 2003 14:54 (twenty-one years ago)

oh whoops....I read that wrong.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 1 December 2003 14:57 (twenty-one years ago)

He was in "Coal Miners Daughter".

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Monday, 1 December 2003 15:01 (twenty-one years ago)

He was in "the Fugitive,"....that was pretty damn good.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 1 December 2003 15:03 (twenty-one years ago)

And JFK...and Volcano. Hehehe...man, Volcano sucked some ass, eh?

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Monday, 1 December 2003 15:05 (twenty-one years ago)

He was funny in the first "Men in Black," tho' I think one would be hard pressed to call this film a "classic". Unless, of course, that they were eight years old, maybe.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 1 December 2003 15:07 (twenty-one years ago)

exactly - i've always had this feeling there's a great serious role for him in a great great serious movie but it has yet to come about.

stevem (blueski), Monday, 1 December 2003 15:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Geoffrey Wright. There's lotsa other great actresses and actors, but he's tops of the personal superlative list these days.

Lee G (Lee G), Monday, 1 December 2003 17:15 (twenty-one years ago)

RICHARD DREYFUSS!!!!!!!!!

Emilymv (Emilymv), Monday, 1 December 2003 17:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I have no use for actors. I usually can't appreciate "powerhouse performances." If I notice acting, it is because it's bad.

I still love Cate Blanchett though.

Leee Majors (Leee), Monday, 1 December 2003 22:45 (twenty-one years ago)
