No fair in tempting us with that knowledge! Where's the audio link? (No points either, for swearing you can't create it)

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 23:18 (twenty-one years ago)

I am sick with envy.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 23:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, I HAVE to hear this.

Broheems (diamond), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 23:32 (twenty-one years ago)

NOW.

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 23:33 (twenty-one years ago)

i have some brazen hussies but I can't remember whether dave put that one in or not (but anyway, I was trying to work out whether he was the one singing this stuff since his speaking voice and singing voice seemed to be really different, I'll listen to it later).

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 23:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Now now now!

luna (luna.c), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 23:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned lives to tease us, naturally.

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 23:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Since an e-mail that I sent out appears not to have gone through, let me cough loudly and suggest a Special Container for mp3s where it might have ended up.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 00:02 (twenty-one years ago)

*checks again* Never mind, said e-mail did go through. This should be circulating any second now.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 00:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Now?

Sean (Sean), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 00:23 (twenty-one years ago)

*checks watch* Suppose that technology's concept of time differs from ours. Hm.

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 00:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't help it if my minions with Soulseek access aren't following up on this!

Merci, charlton...

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 00:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Rah for the Gareth!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 00:35 (twenty-one years ago)

erm, am i meant to put that there, is dave ok with that?

charltonlido (gareth), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 00:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Delish! His voice sounds similar to Jeff Buckley and Roy Orbison, with guitar riffs courtesy of Queen.

(I'll have to grab Soulseek, once my comp is linked up)

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 00:46 (twenty-one years ago)

with guitar riffs courtesy of Queen

That goes without saying.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 15:07 (twenty-one years ago)

I forgot to mention this song is fab and has made my week more bearable.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 15:08 (twenty-one years ago)

:-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 15:08 (twenty-one years ago)

so where's the rest of this "Passion" album?

JaXoN (JasonD), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 20:38 (twenty-one years ago)

That's a mislabel from when I encoded the mp3 -- CDDB originally had it as some other promo single for some act and I forgot to delete that tag.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 20:41 (twenty-one years ago)

So any other reviews, then? If you will.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 22:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I love it. Great NyQuil vibe. I was kind of pleasantly surprised how little he altered the arrangement. I can almost hear it as some long-lost late-70s homespun glory grab, similar to classics by the likes of Dick Destiny or Horton. The solo absolutely rips! I find myself wondering how much of his solos Dave composes - not that it matters, and anyway most artists keep their working methods close to the vest. I'm kinda reminded of maybe Greg Ginn with a bit of a whammy bar predilection. Awesome!

Broheems (diamond), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 22:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Maybe more Ulmer than Ginn? Kinda harmolodic anyway. And shit, Destiny's records were 80s (Horton's was 70s though). Anyway, it's a timeless tradition. I eagerly await a full length.

Broheems (diamond), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 22:38 (twenty-one years ago)

luv the gtr solo! listened to it three times in a row!

geeta (geeta), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 23:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Dang, sexy smooooooth. The solo is godlike. dave q should teach me guitar.

Francis Watlington (Francis Watlington), Thursday, 4 December 2003 01:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Thursday, 4 December 2003 23:37 (twenty-one years ago)
