I also quite vividly remember the first porn movie I ever saw, when I was 12 or so. It involved a swimming pool, an anonymous-to-me stud and Amber Lynn. Or at least the scene did; it was the last one in the movie, and the tape was at the start of the scene. It was . . . impactful.

I was 5, it was the Blue Lagoon, I thought nothing of it. When I was 7 I first saw someone shot on film (in Ragtime I think) and I was deeply traumatized!

When I was 8, I first saw Last Tango In Paris on terrestrial TV. I thought, "What's the big deal? They're naked." Sneak-watching my first porn flick (at 11) had greater impact, though I wasn't sure why at the time.

Probably all the titties in "Revenge of the Nerds", age 8 or so.

It's not out of any puritanism, but I never really bothered to consider the realm of porno movies until I got a job at a video store at age 20. And this was 1999, when every video box made sex look like the most miserable activity one could do that did not involve a half-hour of consecutive vomiting. (I am thinking back to the True Porn Clerk Stories bit about boxes that read "GAPING ASSHOLES INSIDE" on the cover.)

That said, Boogie Nights is inexplicably one of my five favorite movies ever.

"10" -- the first R-rated film my folks allowed me to see.
My thoughts at the time ranged from "They shoulda had more Bo Derek naked" to "Dudley Moore is funny!" I haven't seen it since; I wonder if it's still any good.

Actually, no. Now that I really think 'bout it, that was the first pleasant nude scene experience I had. After some thought, I remember it being 'The Toxic Avenger'. You know that scene where some jocks in the locker room started smacking the shit outta Toxie or whatever the fuck his name was? Yeah, that was rather uncomfortable. I cried, actually. My mom took it back to the video rental place immediately and demanded a refund and apology, 'cuz I had been rented a 'porno'. I was probably 6.
