Does anyone (whose young enough) remember this?

latebloomer (latebloomer), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 00:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes.

Sarah Pedal (call mr. lee), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 00:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Dud.

Andrew (enneff), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 00:49 (twenty-one years ago)

ALLY TO THREAD!

Eisbär (llamasfur), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 00:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes....and my inner cartoon addict is ashamed to admit it.

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 00:50 (twenty-one years ago)

i remember it. there was a football game on the day my mom took me, and she listened to it on a pocket transistor with a distractingly loud earpiece. why she didn't send me with my unsports-obsessed father, i'll never know.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 01:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha it's fantastic. It was scary! Maybe I am thinking of a movie I saw on tv?? I didn't know it was a movie-theatre-movie. There was some kind of horrible hurricane thing stealing some kind of heart pendant in the one I saw and the My Little Ponies had to save the d ay otherwise their little twee world would be destroyed into a sad cloudy world, like Seattle. Is that the right movie? Whatever, it was great, much better than The Last Unicorn.

Allyzay, Wednesday, 3 December 2003 02:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Except the Last Unicorn had nakedness which is a plus. None of these films are as good as Flight of Dragons.

Allyzay, Wednesday, 3 December 2003 02:38 (twenty-one years ago)

yup, that's the one. the evil entity trying to smother the tweeness was called the smooze. i'm not kidding.

My favorite scene in the My Little Pony movie is the one in which the witches aren't sure what the word "dank" means and have to look it up in their spellbook's appendix.

ginny, Wednesday, 3 December 2003 07:38 (twenty-one years ago)

But what about the CAREBEAR MOVIES? I always wanted to be the Camp Champ.

Mandee (Jerrynipper), Wednesday, 3 December 2003 09:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Hey, do you guys remember the 80s?

But seriously, I loved the My Little Pony Movie. My sister (um, she's in her 20s) just got a Care Bear movie starring her favorite one, Good Luck Bear. I plan to watch that sometime soon.

We loved the Last Unicorn growing up - saw it a zillion times. Then we saw it when we got older and it freaked us out, especially the tree with breasts.

two years pass...
i don't know why this thing popped into my mind ... but it did!

Eisbär (llamasfur), Friday, 17 March 2006 22:27 (nineteen years ago)

This is the one with the SLIME right??? And that BRATTY LITTLE PONY that runs away because she gets laughed at during the dance recital or something. And the two sisters -- ONE FAT, ONE SKINNY? I think I tried rewatching this a few years ago and it just bummed me out. That always happens with kids movies that have this weird MYSTICAL QUALITY in your memory.

It's no Care Bears Movie

Jimmy Mod: GRILL ENSPEKTOR (The Famous Jimmy Mod), Friday, 17 March 2006 22:39 (nineteen years ago)

the second care bears movie is pretty choice.

POOP BITCH (Mandee), Friday, 17 March 2006 22:46 (nineteen years ago)

I confuse this one with The Last Unicorn. this one didn't have any soaring epic late 70's-type pop tunes, did it?

kingfish da notorious teletabby (kingfish 2.0), Friday, 17 March 2006 23:14 (nineteen years ago)

no, but it featured the voice talents of danny devito

the part where they diaper up all the baby carebears in the carebears 2 always made me FEEL FUNNY. AND NOT IN A SEXUAL WAY, but because there is a cupboard full of MILLIONS OF DIAPERS AND BOTTLES and things in large quantities gross me out (like frog eggs).

gunther heartymeal (keckles), Friday, 17 March 2006 23:54 (nineteen years ago)

You must really hate the beach.

Pleasant Plains /// (Pleasant Plains ///), Saturday, 18 March 2006 00:11 (nineteen years ago)

I don't go to the beach enough so I haven't really thought about it. MAYBE I DO!!! I think sand is small enough though, you can't really tell.

gunther heartymeal (keckles), Saturday, 18 March 2006 00:14 (nineteen years ago)

Let me clarify: I shove them up my ass when I beat off. That is why their hair is sticky.

MY LITTLE ASS PONIES!

I still think Flight of Dragons was the best one. It had whats his face from Night Court doing a voice in it.

Allyzay Rofflesberger (allyzay), Saturday, 18 March 2006 00:43 (nineteen years ago)

Cocorosie plays a looped, kaleidoscopic version of the carebears movie as "art" in the background of their concerts

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Saturday, 18 March 2006 00:46 (nineteen years ago)

I think Jon Ritter was in the dragon one, too
