Breville is proud to present 'Laughter Lines'.

1. The Stand-Up Sandwich Toaster
2. The Comedy Kettle
3. The Talking Toaster

Does this mark the end of civilisation? Are these the three kitchen appliances of the Apocalypse?

A kettle that says "Oooh Sharon... How d'you turn this thing off?"

Fuck. If I had a kettle that quoted John Motson at me, or a sandwich toaster that sounded like Fred Elliott or Ainsley f===ing Harriott, the appliances would be out the window within about three seconds.

What a spectacularly crap idea.

I was only half-way through at that point, and I just listened to the rest of them. It's just a collection of "who is it dead easy to do impressions of" rather than any comedy value. I mean, a Johnny Vegas /Alan Hansen toaster? Dear Lord.

What would they say if you could record your own message?

I think a bath that told you when it was going to overflow would be a good idea. Or before it was going to overflow even.

Surely nobody in their right mind has considered things like this to be a good idea since about 1989?

These are for people who enjoy the talking fish like Billy Bass.

I'm deeply saddened that I even took the time to listen to them all. That's a couple of minutes of my life I'll never get back.
