Do you spend a loy of your time rushing about? Isn't it time you took it easy?

MarkH (MarkH), Friday, 5 December 2003 14:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, which is why I am cutting back on my work hours starting in January -- it is having an effect on my health.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 5 December 2003 14:45 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm not rushing, just, goddammit, I hate slow people.

(Possibly even more than I hate being dragged about at breakneck speed by people who go faster than me.)

THAT Kate (kate), Friday, 5 December 2003 14:48 (twenty-one years ago)

damn it i thought this was about Paula Abdul and Keanu.

Chris B. Sure (Chris V), Friday, 5 December 2003 14:49 (twenty-one years ago)

someone's sure to think it's abt Geddy Lee.

I had today off work. I have been taking my time. This is perfect.

MarkH (MarkH), Friday, 5 December 2003 14:55 (twenty-one years ago)

MarkH, sometimes I think you're writing a book, the questions you ask on ILX. Some kind of popular sociology text. Am I warm?

Time stand still.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 5 December 2003 16:17 (twenty-one years ago)

I am picturing MarkH as the Cadbury's Caramel rabbit now actually, and it's very disturbing...

I don't rush, as an article of faith.

Archel (Archel), Friday, 5 December 2003 16:18 (twenty-one years ago)

it just occurred to me I prefer paula abdul's "rush rush" to anything rush have recorded

cinniblount (James Blount), Friday, 5 December 2003 16:23 (twenty-one years ago)

where is the love for big audio dynamite (2)?

mookieproof (mookieproof), Friday, 5 December 2003 16:43 (twenty-one years ago)

where is the love for big audio dynamite (2)?

said Mick Jones, slumped down
in his booth at McDonald's
eating to forget

Haikunym (Haikunym), Friday, 5 December 2003 16:47 (twenty-one years ago)

er, I don't do rushing, if I can possibly help it.

jel -- (jel), Friday, 5 December 2003 17:49 (twenty-one years ago)

fraternities suck anyway

mookieproof (mookieproof), Friday, 5 December 2003 17:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Sometimes I feel like I'm hearing "Schnell! Schnell!" from my Captain as we run around trying to ballast the sub!

Actually, I don't rush around as much as I did in my youth.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 5 December 2003 18:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Situation no win.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 5 December 2003 18:24 (twenty-one years ago)

This is especially an important lesson for the holidays. Someone should make some sort of movie about a professional on the go who doesn't have much time for his/her family and then some little kid teaches them about the joys of christmas. (or maybe an angel..)

Sarah McLusky (coco), Friday, 5 December 2003 21:07 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought this was about Limbaugh's "doctor shopping."

Leee Trevino (Leee), Friday, 5 December 2003 23:41 (twenty-one years ago)

wasn't it emilio, not keanu?

Dean Gulberry (deangulberry), Friday, 5 December 2003 23:42 (twenty-one years ago)

At our work xmas function (which we were told was "not an optional outing" even tho it was AFTER HOURS which put everyone off), there was a taped speech from the CEO and he made a big thing about how over xmas we should all go home, spend quality time with famnily, rest, etc... so we can be all refreshed and READY TO BE DRIVEN INTO THE GROUND LIKE THE DOGS WE ARE IN '04 MUAHAHAHA".

Well he didnt say that last bit but it was implied by the menacing Santa-does-Satan smile on his face.

God I hate my job.

Trayce (trayce), Saturday, 6 December 2003 00:25 (twenty-one years ago)

And meanwhile you were stuck at a stupid office party and not spending time with said family, huh?

Our office does not feel satisfied with having just one after hours party, so it's having two - only casual one that requires bringing a $25 gift, $10 for donation to some charity, and a covered dish. I am thinking no. The other one is formal, includes free dinner & drinks, and you can bring someone.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 01:28 (twenty-one years ago)

wasn't it emilio, not keanu?

Emilio was the real life boyfriend.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 6 December 2003 01:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Men rush to fraternities, sorority rushing done

felicity (felicity), Saturday, 6 December 2003 02:00 (twenty-one years ago)

I am not actually writing a book, socilogical or otherwise, but I am very self-critical in lots of ways, and I think this self-criticism may sometimes detract from what I should be thinking about, but hey.

sometimes I am inclined to rush abt even at the weekend and then I suddenly reach a point when I suddenly think "dammit, its the weekend - I can take my time!"

MarkH (MarkH), Saturday, 6 December 2003 13:53 (twenty-one years ago)

love BAD II, incidentally, even if they did have a drummer who was ex- Sigue Sigue Sputnik.

MarkH (MarkH), Saturday, 6 December 2003 13:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I am picturing MarkH as the Cadbury's Caramel rabbit now actually, and it's very disturbing...

which is funny as Archel has previously envisaged me as a hare.

MarkH (MarkH), Saturday, 6 December 2003 15:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Good woman. Tis only another way for them to shave off a bit of your Xmas bonus.
