Alright, what does this mean? (A drinking habits question)

Well over the last 2 years or so I've basically stuck to beer, scotch, and the occasional Manhattan, and a dry red whenever making pasta.

However, over the last couple of days I've found my self busting out the Kaluha and binging on White Russians and B-52's. Is there some scientific explanation (besides always forgetting to buy ice cream at the grocery store?

You drink while cooking? That sounds a bit dangerous.

uh oh... girl drink drunk!

lauren (laurenp), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:27 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't recommed pouring most of those drinks IN the pasta, but wine can add a nice flavor to the sauce.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:28 (twenty-one years ago)

oh hell pour 'em in,
light that shit on fire and run
come back later, eat

Haikunym (Haikunym), Saturday, 6 December 2003 03:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Haikunym is very correct. Whenever I make ribs I boil them with Heineken and a little water before I grill them. It's amazing. The fat young man in that Tupac film "Juice" poured beer liberally into omelettes while taking sips, which might be taking it a bit too far. But for ribs, surely.

I'm drunk on White Russians this very instant. For me it was a matter of left over vodka from a Penne Vodka recipie and a craving instigated by chocolate ice cream. I've also opted for them on many occasions because they're easy on the stomach.

My boyfriend would say: You have gooood taste. He's right, white russians are classique. Tho not as good as Cuba Libres. Hmmmm.

nathalie (nathalie), Saturday, 6 December 2003 08:11 (twenty-one years ago)

The exact same thing happened to me a couple of months ago ... must be a seasonal change thing (white russians are the best hibernation drink i can think of).

rrrobyn, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 00:15 (seventeen years ago)

Or Guinness, which for some reason a lot of people around here hate...

snoball, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 00:18 (seventeen years ago)

guiness is beer

rrrobyn, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 00:22 (seventeen years ago)

Beer yes, but specifically it's a dry stout.

snoball, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 00:27 (seventeen years ago)

i put beer in a risotto the other week because we ran out of wine and i was drunk.

W4LTER, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 00:28 (seventeen years ago)

Autumn Almanac, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 00:44 (seventeen years ago)

I was drunk when i ate it, but i recall the consensus being that it wasn't horrendous or anything.

W4LTER, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 00:45 (seventeen years ago)

guiness sucks because its expensive and has less alcohol than budwiser

chaki, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 00:47 (seventeen years ago)

or to quote el tomboto, "its dirty water with brilliant marketing."

chaki, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 00:48 (seventeen years ago)

We were drinking cheap pints of guinness and betting on horses last Sat in a total shitpit pub, was too awesome.

W4LTER, Wednesday, 24 October 2007 00:50 (seventeen years ago)

40oz's are pre-measured for bratwurst-simmering.
