I was gonna start a thread about this but I didn't think anyone would care! That club's about a 10 minute walk from my place. There was a huge search for him, tons of posters everywhere. It was long thought that he just took off. Very strange story and sad. I am betting Chris is sad I didn't get him a gig there, though!

I haven't been in there to look at the wall, but I'm guessing you could't see from one end to the other as a police officer did look in there with a flashlight not long after Ed went missing but couldn't see him.

What worries me is the way they wrote off the smell to "cigarettes and spilt beer" - I mean, bars smell bad, but not rotting corpse bad!

The body was pretty far inside the wall... For a long time (and even now) that club was the main goth hang out, so maybe they just kinda liked it?

I clicked on that story expecting to react with horrified laughter (seeing as that's how I react to everything, good and bad) but really I'm just sad.

I'm also thinking that the club is going to attract even more goths.

Replace "DJ" with "Guitarist" in the story, and it could have been me, the way my band treated me after gigs, boo-hoo etc. etc.

The way I understood it, the cigarettes and spilt beer masked the smell. Until the City passed the no smoking by law, that is.
