Kate 22 (kate), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 11:10 (twenty-one years ago)

26th - probably going from Chris's mum's (chesterfield) to Chorley to my parents, though maybe on the 27th, also have to decide if they should meet for the first time then, for a pub lunch half way or somat, or whether we should put it off a bit.

27th - 29th, hopefully in Liverpool, getting some peace and quiet at Chris's sister's flat.

30th - going over to Chester so we're round for:

31st - my sister's wedding, and yes, I'm a bridesmaid (again) I plan to get quite quite drunk.

Vicky (Vicky), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 11:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I think we're going to Windsor, of all places, for New Years Eve. (Unfortunately, not to visit the Queen, just some old friends of HSA's.)

Kate 22 (kate), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 11:17 (twenty-one years ago)

M Matos (M Matos), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 11:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I haven't spent the Christmas with my folks for years (they're divorced and so on), but me and my friend with whom I've spent the last six Christmases have come up with an "alternative" holidays schedule, which has become sort of a similar tradition as a family Christmas was back then...

24th (the "official" Christmas celebration day in Finland) - eat a shitload of Christmas food, open some presents, drink some wine and beer.

25th - eat what's left of the Christmas food, watch "It's a Wonderful Life". In the evening, go to the cinema to see a religious/epic film (for the last two years, it's been "Lord of the Rings", and this year too) with friends. Afterwards, go to a pub.

26th - Have a big party at someone's home, invite all the people who by this far are dying to see people other than their parents and siblings.

27th - 30th - Spend your Christmas money & gift certificates: buy some records and clothes, eat outside etc.

31th - Have a New Year's Party at someone's home. Never go to a pub or a club, because they're shitload of drunken Finns.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 11:24 (twenty-one years ago)

26th - Going to See Derrick May play at the arches in Glasgow.
27th - Still partying
28th - Bed
29th - work
30th - work
31st - pointless half day at work, big party with friends at night.

neil simpson (neil simpson), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 11:30 (twenty-one years ago)

spending time with my family. listening to records. reading.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 11:32 (twenty-one years ago)

of course, this all depends on what happens in the next few days and i'm in in the same place for the rest of the month work-wise, but currently it looks like this:

24th - work, struggle home
25th - day with wife's family, avoiding calls from my family
26th - wife's family plus various friends of the family over to ours for a big food-related shindig
27th - tidy the house after the shindig
28th - church
29th - work
30th - day off (have every tuesday off for college course, not going to change it for two weeks over xmas so i can have some bloody time off, thank you). probably going to be decorating the master bedroom.
31st - work.

i appear to have gone all e.e. cummings here.

Rob M (Rob M), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 11:36 (twenty-one years ago)

26-28 bradford/leeds/manchester(?)

charltonlido (gareth), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 11:39 (twenty-one years ago)

26th: Aunt and Uncle's for lunch, follwoed by an evening of drunkenness in the Crooked Billet pub in Wimbledon Village, whichy may or may not end up with me and my old friends from the 'hood piling back to someone's flat.

27th: AFC Wimbledon vs Raynes Park Vale - the Merton derby which say a 10-1 aggregate win for the Dons last season, and this season the Vile aren't having nearly such a good time of it. Come on you Dons!

28th: Neighbours from when I was tiny are over for lunch and no doubt lots of wine. Hurrah!

That's it so far.

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 11:57 (twenty-one years ago)

i could come to that AFC game mebbe

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 12:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Off to St Ives with the family, not getting back for a week, thus putting the first top 40 of the year in peril...

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 13:00 (twenty-one years ago)

it will be rubbish anyway, a lucky escape sar

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 13:02 (twenty-one years ago)

not sure really, watching football, drinking and eating are high on the list though.

New Years I presume I'll be out clubbing, my parents are going to Spain on the 28th for a while so I guess my house will be trashed and full of manglers. Should be fun though. you're all welcome.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 13:05 (twenty-one years ago)

dublin is actually pretty tempting for nye, let me have a look at things

charltonlido (gareth), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 13:15 (twenty-one years ago)

stevem, probably not the best if you were thinking of accompanying me as I'll be with my mum and dad. I'm going to start a thread proposing a match in January though - possibly 17th January vs Horley Town, the league's newest team.

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 13:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Go with his mum and dad.

Pete (Pete), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 13:22 (twenty-one years ago)

More ILX parents should get involved! So HSA's mum doesn't get lonely! (Even though she's actually technically not an ILX Parent, but an ILX Parent-In-Law)

Kate 22 (kate), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 13:25 (twenty-one years ago)

27th - fly back from parents.
28th-29th don't know, will be up for stuff though.
30th poker hand pub crawl sounds cool.
31st nye party at my house (to which yr all welcome).

toby (tsg20), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 13:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Dublin would also be nice!

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 13:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Back to parents in Paris, seek records I haven't been ablwe to find here in Prague, hook up with people I never have time to see during the year when I come for just a week-end, dread the prospect of yet another fiasco for NYE..

Baaderist (Fabfunk), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 14:09 (twenty-one years ago)

27 - to be confirmed

That's also my schedule. Nothing is really certain yet, because I will be moving pretty soon but I don't know if I'll have the keys to the house by then. If I do I will probably be working on moving on the days I have off.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 14:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Moving! Rah! A full house for the two of you? Cool...

As for me, 26-27 parents, 28 return here, through the end of the year zone and ponder or something.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 14:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, I may post pictures on the "Judge me based on a picture of my living room" thread when I get moved in.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 10 December 2003 14:27 (twenty-one years ago)

27th: AFC Wimbledon vs Raynes Park Vale - the Merton derby which say a 10-1 aggregate win for the Dons last season, and this season the Vile aren't having nearly such a good time of it. Come on you Dons!

having lived in wimbledon/raynes park all my life, may i say that my support would come down entirely on the side of wimbledon. raynes park should be wiped off the face of the earth!

stevie (stevie), Thursday, 11 December 2003 13:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha Stevie. In a moment of above-and-beyond-the-call-of-duty I went to see Raynes Park Vale play Ash United last season on a freezing Tuesday night. And got to see a 4-3 thriller! You should really throw your weight behind the local team (and come along on the 27th) :)

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 11 December 2003 13:18 (twenty-one years ago)

i would, but i hate watching football! (no problems playing it but watching,,, gah!) but in theory i support AFC wimbledon inasmuch as i can without actually doing anything about it.

stevie (stevie), Thursday, 11 December 2003 13:57 (twenty-one years ago)
