I'll go with that. Is there any word about the episodes starting to get a DVD release (besides that premiere one, which El Diablo kindly got as a housewarming gift for me)?

Okay, I'll get to that later but for now, some *long* overdue news:
"Look for the second season of Samurai Jack to come out on DVD in the Spring of 2005, along with episodes of Ed, Edd, N Eddy. The Venture Bros. are looking to hit DVD that Fall, along with plenty of other shows throughout 2005. This includes the third season of Samurai Jack, which will be released that winter."(From Animation HQ Forums)

I don't like that there Boomerang/Toonami idea, it is a FALSE BINARY! And really, I like having Bugs and Tom & Jerry next to Samurai Jack and Megas XLR and the Powerpuff Girls. Sure, there's plenty of old skool hanna-barbera crap that's just awful, but then the new guard also has some duds ("Ed, Edd & Eddy", "Cow & Chicken", "Johnny Bravo" for the most part.)

Damn I miss this programme. Best action cartoon series of all time? (There may well be one of those long-running manga things that's better, but all the ones I've watched any of just confuse me and give me a headache)

Glah can you imagine a Samurai Jack movie?? :/ Would be so good
― Tracer Hand, Monday, 14 January 2008 16:30 (seventeen years ago)
SO so good.
― Ned Raggett, Monday, 14 January 2008 16:32 (seventeen years ago)
I'm pissed off you can't even get Region 2 DVDs as far as I've been able to discover.
― chap, Monday, 14 January 2008 16:43 (seventeen years ago)
I don't think there are any PAL versions of Samurai Jack available at all.
― Tracer Hand, Monday, 14 January 2008 16:50 (seventeen years ago)
This episode is astonishingly beautiful:http://www.peteava.ro/video/material/30406

I've only seen the first season and various other episodes on TV, but the standout to me, by far, is the episode where Jack faces off against the three blind archers in the tower. Simply outstanding, especially from a sound design perspective.
CN seriously only seems to play this show once a week now. ugh!
― HPSCHD, Friday, 3 October 2008 16:53 (sixteen years ago)
It really blows that they never gave this show a proper ending..
― Nhex, Friday, 3 October 2008 20:23 (sixteen years ago)
Maybe they won't anymore - Mako, the voice of Aku, died in 2006 ...
― StanM, Saturday, 4 October 2008 22:52 (sixteen years ago)
I've seen about 40 episodes since this thread (12 to go) and the design (sound and image) is just... PHENOMENAL. Wow x 1000000
― StanM, Thursday, 16 October 2008 19:24 (sixteen years ago)

Sorry bout the mega url.
A lot falls on who they get to voice Aku but really excited for this. As of when the original serialization ended it was still going strong.
― tsrobodo, Saturday, 5 December 2015 12:36 (nine years ago)
The final season was the best.

Ooh that's tough, first and second have a lot of my favourite episodes iirc, would need to check to be sure
― tsrobodo, Saturday, 5 December 2015 17:35 (nine years ago)
Earlier seasons have stellar episodes, but the fourth was consistently wonderfully assured and inventive.

Still have all four seasons on DVD; wish DVD players had changers, and a shuffle function, so I could load up all four and just play episodes at random.
