Reasons to watch TV No. 56432 - Colin and Justin's Million Pound Property Experiment.

This has got to be the greatest and awfullest TV show in history. The whole thing is a complete sham financially, as the guardian detailed last week, to make their one million pounds it looks like Colin and Justing will spend around 900,000 and one one house last week spent around 250,000 on a property, refurbished it to the tune of a further 90,000 and made a profit of 1,000 (sorry my pound sign key is not working).

But what of the hissy fits, the bizarre malaproprisms, the crazy use of language? "its important not to overegg the bedroom here"; "we're going to kiss this house from the past and blow it into the future". the highlight/lowpoint has to be the hissy fits from Justin the blond one, i really thinl there something evil about this man. My particular favourite moment happened last week when he was talking to the camera with a mobile phone to his ear when there was no one on the phone!

It makes me feel depressed and soiled to watch it and yet, like a car crash - i can't look away.

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Thursday, 11 December 2003 16:27 (twenty-one years ago)

eh?

Vicky loves this programme, I like it when they argue with their project manager

chris (chris), Thursday, 11 December 2003 16:31 (twenty-one years ago)

The UK needs another property development programme like ILX needs another troll.

HRH Queen Kate (kate), Thursday, 11 December 2003 16:33 (twenty-one years ago)

I think it's hilarious! I missed it last night, as I made the mistake of watching Celtic, and it seems as though it was the first one for a while that they actually made a profit on.

The interaction with the project manager the BBC gave them is hilarious, but I don't think he was on the project last night was he? They are the campest men ever, but Justin is so nasty, a complete bitch.

I just love it when the estate agents come round, praise the property to high heaven, encourage them to hold out for higher offers, and when the market goes stale, tell them loads of faults, and make them drop the price by a humungus chunk.

Vicky (Vicky), Thursday, 11 December 2003 16:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Is that an iMac?

Girolamo Savonarola, Thursday, 11 December 2003 16:41 (twenty-one years ago)

He's evil that justin. Ive met those two a couple of times actually, theyre just as bitchy in life. it makes me feel bad for being gay as if i'm, in some way, responsible for them. its wierdly depressing.

jed (jed_e_3), Thursday, 11 December 2003 16:46 (twenty-one years ago)

is Justin the one without the stupid beard? if so he's a bad man. The other one seems nice though if a bit dim.

chris (chris), Thursday, 11 December 2003 16:47 (twenty-one years ago)

The UK needs another property development programme like ILX needs another troll.

i agree HRH but this isnt really like watching a property show, its like watching the end of civilisation.

yeah chris Justin is the blonde bearded one.

jed (jed_e_3), Thursday, 11 December 2003 16:51 (twenty-one years ago)

jed, it does seem a shame that bbc viewers will be basing their stereotypes on those two.

Vicky (Vicky), Thursday, 11 December 2003 16:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm confused now, one always seems pointy and nasty (I thought he had dark hair) and te other seems nice and docile a bit like a sheep (I thought he had blonde hair)

am I conusing hair?

chris (chris), Thursday, 11 December 2003 16:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Well its about time I got a new stereotype. Gimme Gimme Gimme's been off the air for three years now.

Pete (Pete), Thursday, 11 December 2003 16:54 (twenty-one years ago)

chris - i dont think either of them are particuarly nice, but the blond is worse. their facial hair changes in every shot of the programme thoug so its kind of hard to describe them that way.

jed (jed_e_3), Thursday, 11 December 2003 16:58 (twenty-one years ago)

in my head they keep morphing into Greg and Max, the chefs who romped across Canada and did route 66, who are among my heroes. They aren't bitchy though.

chris (chris), Thursday, 11 December 2003 17:18 (twenty-one years ago)

"open image in another window"? Quoi?

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 11 December 2003 18:18 (twenty-one years ago)

maybe that's just a Safari-ism, sorry. All I meant was that the image when you open it in a window by itself - by following http://members.fortunecity.com/oops127/zora_suleman001.jpg is larger than when it's embedded in the page here, a nice compromise on the bandwidth leeching thing - the site being leeched from is a rather nasty celebrity soft-pr0n thing tho.

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Thursday, 11 December 2003 18:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, you're looking at her tits!

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 11 December 2003 18:24 (twenty-one years ago)

what Girolamo said

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Thursday, 11 December 2003 18:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I have Safari and I couldn't see the big tits until just now.
