Does this happen to anyone else? Because my cat does this ALL THE TIME. I have bloody puncture wounds in my thigh that look like needle tracks.

webcrack (music=crack), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 03:53 (twenty-one years ago)

yes, but it normally ends up flung across the room when it does it

the surface noise (electricsound), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 03:55 (twenty-one years ago)

That is all my cat ever does. I think it is his hobby. He likes to leap from the bed and grab my ass lately. Ugh.

Allyzay, Wednesday, 17 December 2003 03:57 (twenty-one years ago)

I have more trouble with him freaking out and jumping OFF my lap. Does your cat have front claws? Mine doesn't, though I've been convinced that de-clawing is cruel and thus won't do it to any future cats. Drapes with gaping tears in them look bitchin' anyway.

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 03:59 (twenty-one years ago)

My cat's smart. If I'm sitting on a chair, he judges the distance first by stretching out his paws to the edge of it, then he jumps up.

It's pretty cool.

may pang (maypang), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I so need to clip my poor kittys claws. She scratches me even when she tries really hard not to. I'm too scared I'll moosh em up if I do it myself though.

But yeah my cat hangs off my leg when Im sat at the PC all the damn time. She hangs off Nick's leg when he stands up too, which is cute.

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Ally, I didn't know your cat was a male ILXer!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:03 (twenty-one years ago)

It would be cute if it wasn't so damn painful; she just looks up nonchalantly like "wow, I'm too lazy to jump that high, mind giving a hand here?"

webcrack (music=crack), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Dan, I already told you my cat's name was Ned Raggett, wtf.

Allyzay, Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned leaps off the bed and grabs your ass lately? =)

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:11 (twenty-one years ago)

...

TOMBOT, Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:12 (twenty-one years ago)

What, he doesn't do that at the other FAPs?

xpost don't do that, you already know he's going to have to come live with you. Then he can grab your ass, Tom.

Allyzay, Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:13 (twenty-one years ago)

My dog does stuff like this.

kirsten (kirsten), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Her favorite thing to do is sit next to the piano bench while I'm playing, and claw the shit out of my leg until I pick her up. Then she sits there and paws at my lap and snaps her head right and left like she's watching a tennis match, watching my hands on the piano. It's really very cute.

kirsten (kirsten), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Do you have a chihuahua? Cos my mom's dog does that too.

My mom's dog also humps the other dogs, even though the chihuahua is a girl?? It's bizarro.

Allyzay, Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:20 (twenty-one years ago)

No, she's a yorkie-poo. She's tiny! Four and a half pounds.

kirsten (kirsten), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:21 (twenty-one years ago)

How cute! I used to want one of those. They have SHARP claws. For some reason my mom was babysitting a litter of those when I was young, like six years old, and one of them somehow climbed up my grandpa's pants' leg and up his shirt and sat on his shoulder! I mean it was a dog, it was crazy.

Do you make it wear a sweater? I would. They look really cute in them. They're the only dog that looks cute in dog clothing.

Allyzay, Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:23 (twenty-one years ago)

She has a red turtleneck sweater! And she has a black one, too, but it's a little too big for her. I'm usually against dogs in peoples' clothing, but she just looks so adorable.

kirsten (kirsten), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:24 (twenty-one years ago)

No, seriously, in general the concept of putting a dog in clothing makes me want to kill myself but for some reason those dogs look REALLY cute in clothing. They have little faces that look like they need sweaters, I think, unlike chihuahuas who are just gross.

Allyzay, Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Sophie (my dog) has boots, too, only because the ice and salt in the winter really irritate her tiny feet, but she refuses to wear them. She looks so fucking cute in the sweaters, though, and she actually kind of needs them because she's tiny and has such short hair she might freeze without them.

kirsten (kirsten), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Boots! That's kind of cute, does she have pairs to match the sweater or just like all purpose ones?

Allyzay, Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:30 (twenty-one years ago)

They match the sweater! They're red with tiny white fur trim.

kirsten (kirsten), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:32 (twenty-one years ago)

That is so fucking cute. This is possibly the twee-est conversation had on ILX all week? I really want a yorkie now.

Allyzay, Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:33 (twenty-one years ago)

You should get one! She's tiny but not yappy, and all she really likes to do is sit on people's laps and look cute.

kirsten (kirsten), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't have pets in my new apartment, that's why Mr. Kitty has to move :(

Allyzay, Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:36 (twenty-one years ago)

That's so sad! We're allowed to have cats here, and Sophie is at my parents' house but I know I could have her here and nobody would ever know, since she's so tiny and quiet.

kirsten (kirsten), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I just brought an acoustic guitar near my cat. He sniffed at it, meowed and jumped off the couch. When I plucked a string he RAN away. Maybe he just hates folk.

Elliot (Elliot), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:40 (twenty-one years ago)

My dog likes Chopin, Gershwin, and Belle and Sebastian.

Majestic little cunt, innit?

There's only one type of small dog I like and it's a bit bigger than this one and has coarser hair.

ModJ (ModJ), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 06:12 (twenty-one years ago)

all cats do this to me

gabbneb (gabbneb), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 06:25 (twenty-one years ago)

well, your cat has slight mentalist tendancies, no?

one of the cats in michigan has a drooling problem. she especially likes climbing on the dest when someone is at the computer and drooling on your hands while you type.

i'm sure i'll be writing more about this when it's happening to me as i post to ILX from home...

colette (a2lette), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 12:15 (twenty-one years ago)

One of my cats habitually licks plastic bags. It's like crack to him.

latebloomer (latebloomer), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 12:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Pepper is sitting on the end of the bed staring at me, as if she knows I'm about to type bad stuff about her.

Anyway, she is definitely a cuddle cat, but she gets startled SO easily. This involves her becoming completely pokey and spikey instantaneously. Also, lately, she's been getting her claws stuck in my sweaters. So, I'll be holding her and then she'll try to move one paw and realize it's stuck. So I try to help her get it unstuck, but she freaks out like, "ARGGHHH!!! I can't pick up my paw right this SECOND!!!!" Then all of her other claws turn into razor blades and she tries biting my hand which is trying to free her.

Lucy does the kick off. When she wants down, she uses her back paws to push off my body full force, which can actually hurt quite a bit. Also, she likes to chew on plastic, especially cd wrappers.

Residual effects from the encephalitis, obv.

Trayce (trayce), Thursday, 18 December 2003 02:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Trayce (trayce), Thursday, 18 December 2003 02:15 (twenty-one years ago)

my kitties eat packaging ribbon and other shiny things. and cotton buds.

the surface noise (electricsound), Thursday, 18 December 2003 02:17 (twenty-one years ago)

My cat sucks on her toes on her hind feet. She does it so loudly, you can hear her across the room. Also, when she wants me to wake up, she sticks her paw in my mouth.

My pug jumps up and scratches the HELL out of me all the time. I'm going to make him wear boots!

Layna Andersen (Layna Andersen), Thursday, 18 December 2003 02:21 (twenty-one years ago)
