Mazes - branching paths peppered with minotaurs and gelatinous cubes
v
Labyrinths - wiggly spiritual/meditative journeys

I thought the Minotaur lived in the Labyrinth.

yeah, well you see, erm... LOOK A GAME http://www.logicmazes.com/theseus.html

It has traps and monsters and torments at every turn = it is a labrynth.

It is lame and green and full of children running around and in the grounds of an English stately home = it is a maze.

every one of those mazes in that game is impossible !!!

That's not too far off, actually.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 11:26 (twenty-one years ago)

i did the first maze, but the second does seem impossible

(just to be clear a labyrinth is a single path)

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 11:26 (twenty-one years ago)

You'll have to use the "d" button in the second one.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 11:48 (twenty-one years ago)

ah got it

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 11:53 (twenty-one years ago)

ah yes me too, i feel much better now

Ste (Fuzzy), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 12:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Wow, this is great fun, now that I realize it's not impossible to get past the bastard, heh.
Also, Labyrinth is just SO much nicer of a word than maze. The latter reminds me too much of corn and Paul McCartney.
Though the former reminds me of David Bowie's johnson, which is immediately made up for by dance magic dance; jump magic jump.
Plus, labyrinth is almost the same as the Norwegian word, so it's easier to relate to.
