stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 16:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha!

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 17:05 (twenty-one years ago)

either of these days would be cool for me. Stevem, have you found any good pubs in the Harringay area since you moved there?

MarkH (MarkH), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 17:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Monday at Le Swimmer, Tuesday One Tun?

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 17:08 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm away! Stevem you know you want to go to the pub on Green Lanes opposite the Sainsburys with the AMAZING TOILETS.

Or just hang out down the W-Bar and Dostlar all night GO ON.

Sarah (starry), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 17:09 (twenty-one years ago)

i haven't been to any of the Harringay pubs yet, too busy/isolated - The Old Ale Emporium looks okay, Salisbury is probably alright, there's a dark neony Turkish (presumably) bar just by the end of my road that may also be fun. anyone care to join me? haha, thought not...

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 17:10 (twenty-one years ago)

The Beaconsfield has amazing toilets? i must investigate...maybe it's just the Ladies tho, bah

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 17:10 (twenty-one years ago)

I want to go to the Swimmer at some point soon and as I don't have to work any of that week so either of those nights would be perfect.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 17:11 (twenty-one years ago)

it's not worth visiting especially, but if you want to come to an NL Fap then cool!

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 17:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually it might be the Old Ale Emporium I'm thinking of... it's been a long time you know, I'm not as young as I used to be...

I WANT TO GO TO THE SWIMMER TOO! (But not then as I am in Gloucester for wobs)

Sarah (starry), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 17:13 (twenty-one years ago)

we're around on Monday I think

chris (chris), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 17:14 (twenty-one years ago)

In Ghana, maybe. Waiting for confirmation for our Sunday tickets.

Barima (Barima), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 18:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh my god, my work filter ends again at 6pm. Things you never knew until you started working late! I should have a Guardian column!

Alas, nay, we'll be in Wiltshire, but have a good time.

HRH Queen Kate (kate), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 18:03 (twenty-one years ago)

I can do either night, but would prefer the 23rd since I don't have work for 12 days after that. North London would be great, obviously, but I'd settle for central.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 18:45 (twenty-one years ago)

What is with all the London FAPs???? They were never this frequent when I was around!:( :( :(

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 18:50 (twenty-one years ago)

I'll be about (and no doubt dying to get out of the house), so... yes.

cis (cis), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 19:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Make it the the 22nd and I can come, 23rd I start a night shift.

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 20:39 (twenty-one years ago)

swimmer 22nd dec 7ish?

charltonlido (gareth), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 22:14 (twenty-one years ago)

okay with me - where is The Swimmer again?

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 23:18 (twenty-one years ago)

I shall be there.

Ed (dali), Thursday, 18 December 2003 08:39 (twenty-one years ago)

If anything happens on the 23rd, let me know!

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 18 December 2003 10:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Ed are you Santa?

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Thursday, 18 December 2003 10:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I can do the 23rd, probably

j0e (j0e), Thursday, 18 December 2003 10:52 (twenty-one years ago)

22nd - Nawf Lundun (Swimmer, Quiz, Erdinger, wooooo)
23rd - Central - only 4 the hardkore (One Tun or pub on TCR - Rising Sun? - is my suggestion but Soho fine)

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 18 December 2003 10:59 (twenty-one years ago)

I'll see how I am for time in the pre-christmas tidy frenzy but I'm sure I can make one of these.

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Thursday, 18 December 2003 11:03 (twenty-one years ago)

How many FAPs are you doing in a row, now, Stevem?

Hasn't your liver called "uncle!" yet? ;-)

HRH Queen Kate (kate), Thursday, 18 December 2003 11:05 (twenty-one years ago)

misery loves company

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 18 December 2003 11:27 (twenty-one years ago)

The Swimmer - this is what used to be the Grafton Arms, yes? I shall be travelling down Green Lanes on the 29, which stop do I alight at? The Nags Head?

MarkH (MarkH), Thursday, 18 December 2003 11:30 (twenty-one years ago)

yes, and walk up past the Safeway - i could meet you beforehand maybe (where are you getting the bus from?)

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 18 December 2003 11:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Cannot make this. In Spain (real not ruin).

Pete (Pete), Thursday, 18 December 2003 11:59 (twenty-one years ago)

cool, cheers Steve - I shall be getting bus from Palmers Green or Wood Green so shall pass yr stop, maybe you could email me yr mob. no.?

Pete: shame you can't make the FAP. make sure you get to the airport in plenty of time.

MarkH (MarkH), Thursday, 18 December 2003 12:02 (twenty-one years ago)

ok mark i may go straight from work tho but if not i will let you know

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 18 December 2003 12:03 (twenty-one years ago)

(i thought mark had got confused and thought the FAP was the 29th, rather than him being on a number twenty nine bus, silly me).

i'm around on monday for this and will be in town (at work) on the tuesday so may even pop into that one, if you can decide where it's going to be steve.

HOLD ON!! WHAT AM I SAYING, HE'LL BE RINGING THEM UP AND EVERYTHING...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Thursday, 18 December 2003 12:37 (twenty-one years ago)

"hello, is that a pub? Is it alright if I come for a drink?"

chris (chris), Thursday, 18 December 2003 12:40 (twenty-one years ago)

"what do you mean no?! sob..."

okay, as the steering committee antichrist that i am, i've decided Tuesday's FAP will be at The One Tun

and if you don't like it, then i will drink alone

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 18 December 2003 12:53 (twenty-one years ago)

I would love to come on Monday. I leave for Wolverhampton on the tuesday, so can't make that.

Anna at Toby's (tsg20), Thursday, 18 December 2003 14:31 (twenty-one years ago)

blimey, he doesn't even use fancyapint links, is there no stopping him????

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Thursday, 18 December 2003 15:02 (twenty-one years ago)

i use either, you have to be flexible in this game

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 18 December 2003 15:22 (twenty-one years ago)

ok ok, the one tun too.

charltonlido (gareth), Thursday, 18 December 2003 15:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, are we going for a Chinese first?

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 18 December 2003 16:44 (twenty-one years ago)

There is no plan to do so.

Ricardo (RickyT), Thursday, 18 December 2003 16:45 (twenty-one years ago)

i might go for an Italian in a minute

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 18 December 2003 16:49 (twenty-one years ago)

"go for" as in fight or fuck?

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 18 December 2003 16:50 (twenty-one years ago)

i meant it in the 'clout you with big sloppy trout' sense, cutesums

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 18 December 2003 16:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I've never heard a dick referred to as a big sloppy trout before

chris (chris), Thursday, 18 December 2003 17:09 (twenty-one years ago)

you haven't lived!

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 18 December 2003 17:10 (twenty-one years ago)

thhis is true

chris (chris), Thursday, 18 December 2003 17:11 (twenty-one years ago)

So, One Tun tomorrow, then? (Or actually, later today - I need to go to bed)

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 22 December 2003 00:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Dammit, I'm at home with a particularly debilitating and disgusting case of flu, so I'm 99% certain I won't be there. If there is another tomorrow I think the odds are against that for me too.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 22 December 2003 09:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Swimmer tonight, One Tun tomorrow

stevem (blueski), Monday, 22 December 2003 09:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Ah, decisiveness.

cis (cis), Monday, 22 December 2003 09:46 (twenty-one years ago)

the ladies love it, as do the men

stevem (blueski), Monday, 22 December 2003 09:47 (twenty-one years ago)

He's rung them both and they're getting some beer in especially.

chris (chris), Monday, 22 December 2003 09:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh god Stevem sorry I didn't put my name down. Can you ring the One Tun again and let them know I will be coming, and the Swimmer and tell them I won't? Thanks!

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Monday, 22 December 2003 10:57 (twenty-one years ago)

everyone's a comedian

stevem (blueski), Monday, 22 December 2003 11:09 (twenty-one years ago)

except you two

stevem (blueski), Monday, 22 December 2003 11:09 (twenty-one years ago)

rah, i am back from NORTH and up for pub fun, but i'll make do with you lot in the swimmer ;)

i am going to camden now to try and buy meg a red and black stripey scarf

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Monday, 22 December 2003 13:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Can someone tell a North London alien how to get to this Swimmer place?

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 22 December 2003 14:42 (twenty-one years ago)

nearest tube = Holloway Road - turn left out of the station and walk 10 minutes up the road or jump on a bus. The Swimmer is here

stevem (blueski), Monday, 22 December 2003 14:52 (twenty-one years ago)

It's really disappointing that I'm not up to the first FAP within a bus ride of where I live, but I feel rotten still - getting to the chemist (less than 1000 yards away) and back took everything I have today.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 22 December 2003 17:27 (twenty-one years ago)

unlucky martin, get well soon

stevem (blueski), Monday, 22 December 2003 17:34 (twenty-one years ago)

That should have read 100 yards, not 1000 - my zero ket sometimes gives me bonus extra orders of magnitude,

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 22 December 2003 22:56 (twenty-one years ago)

i was just knackered having walked round BITS OF CAMDEN LOCK MARKET I NEVER KNEW EXISTED (and probably don't except on the exquinoxes). having got up hella early yesterday to get my train, then sat on a train for 3 hours, then trolled round camden, then going to tesco to buy turkey etc i just wanted to lie on the couch and watch the xmas good life and scrooged, but i shall be out tonight, oh yes.

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Tuesday, 23 December 2003 10:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Did everyone have fun? I had fun racing from work to the central line to get to just one shop in Ealing Broadway- left work at 4.20, got to the shop 3 mins before they closed thanks to the central line, and I think it was only the fact that I was almost in tears when they tried to chuck me out which meant they took pity on me and I managed to get what I went for.

I won't make it out tonight either, as I've got to rush out of work, get back to Walthamstow, and then drive to Enfield to pick up my sisters present from a depot in Enfield. By 6pm. Yippeee.

Vicky (Vicky), Tuesday, 23 December 2003 10:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I fear the Ghost of Christmas Ruin is upon me. But thankfully I have just this night discovered a takeaway near me that sells the big bottles of Cobra after-hours = I am a happy bunny.

Last night was much fun, we came third in the Swimmer quiz, despite them asking some k-rub questions and apparently wilfully altering at least one of our answers. But I feel FAPs within walking distance of people's houses must be discouraged due to all-back-to-mine mentalism.

Tonight was a more bijou affair (ie only five of us turned up). But I wholeheartedly approve of the One Tun and its choice of background music.

Also, I think we broke Gareth yesterday. What happened to you tonight, dude?

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 00:13 (twenty-one years ago)

dude, yesterday the guy got off a plane, went to work and then fapped

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 00:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Point conceded. He also filled his kitchen with interweb mentalists until 4am. If I were Charltonlido I'd still be in bed.

But still...

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:46 (twenty-one years ago)

my fave quote from last Monday:

Questionmaster: "Name the first murder victim in the Bible"

Gareth: "Truth!"

Anna: "Gareth, don't be subversive"

MarkH (MarkH), Monday, 29 December 2003 11:01 (twenty-one years ago)

the stuffed otter in the Swimmer is *very* scary!

MarkH (MarkH), Monday, 29 December 2003 11:02 (twenty-one years ago)

two weeks pass...

gareth (gareth), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 20:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Great picture, Gareth.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 20:31 (twenty-one years ago)

the question is who's ass am i grabbing?

pervem (blueski), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 20:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Stevem is Beck! I claim my etc.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 20:42 (twenty-one years ago)

RickyT's expression renders that question unnecessary, m.

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 21:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Whoa - who's hand is that on Mark's shoulder? It's not mine as
1) It's too big.
2) Those aren't my gloves.

Really cute pic of Cis, like the peering over glasses thing.

Anna (Anna), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 21:42 (twenty-one years ago)

That's a great photo!

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 22:22 (twenty-one years ago)

that's my hand on mark h's shoulder obviously

(the other is on matt dc's can)

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 23:19 (twenty-one years ago)

We shall call you Long Armed Steve.

Anna (Anna), Tuesday, 13 January 2004 23:29 (twenty-one years ago)

SETEVM - LONG ARM OF TEH LAW OMG LOL WTF!!1!!11

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 14 January 2004 01:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Stevem is that one dude out of Peep Show who is now on that sitcom about doctors with Ade Edmonson and I claim my five pounds.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Wednesday, 14 January 2004 01:53 (twenty-one years ago)

ha ha, spot the drunken American

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 14 January 2004 02:53 (twenty-one years ago)

actually, going back to that roving hand just for a sec...

Mark H = Gomez
Anna = Morticia
Stevem = Uncle Fester
Ricardo = Puggsley
Cis = Wednesday
Matt = Lurch

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 14 January 2004 02:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Very nice photo indeed! Wah I must go back to London for more FAPs.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 14 January 2004 03:13 (twenty-one years ago)

We determined by science (where by science I mean AIM) yesterday that the reason for stevem and ricky's freakishly long hands (note RT's hand on Anna's far shoulder) was not unrelated to the reason that there are no hands on Matt's shoulders: no-one likes him they clearly have muppet arms, where they can make one a foot longer by shortening the other.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 14 January 2004 09:54 (twenty-one years ago)

You guys look good! I'm actually experiencing an emotion and missing you, I mean, regretting my absence.

How could I have put a line through the 'missing you' bit? What are the tags?

Barima (Barima), Wednesday, 14 January 2004 19:41 (twenty-one years ago)

i miss you like the deserts miss the rain - i trust you are educating the good people of Ghana on popology?

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 14 January 2004 21:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I misread that as desserts miss the rain at first. Then I thought of the related Screamin' Jay Hawkins line, where a female backing singer or two sing "Do you really love me baby?" and he responds "Like a rat loves cheese." I like that line.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 14 January 2004 21:57 (twenty-one years ago)

i'll have you know i am expert in shielding my jam roly-poly from the elements

desserts? rain? i sense a 'drizzle cake' pun in there (*dies*)

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 15 January 2004 03:00 (twenty-one years ago)

<strike>text</strike> = text

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 15 January 2004 09:48 (twenty-one years ago)

or just < s> text < /s>work's doesn't it? let's see, eh?

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Thursday, 15 January 2004 09:56 (twenty-one years ago)

< means you don't have to leave a space after the opening angle bracket, too.

MarkH (MarkH), Thursday, 15 January 2004 10:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Sigh. I miss FAP-ing. Already, even though it's been a week since the last one. What a cute photo of you all, I mean, Stevem's hair. Gareth, did the Spanish Photos come out?

the river fleet, Thursday, 15 January 2004 11:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Helloooo!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 15 January 2004 11:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Stevem's Hair, like Tom's Beard, is developing a life and cult of personality all of its own.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 15 January 2004 11:47 (twenty-one years ago)

helloooo! I just sent you mail, Pink! Gareth, post those pictures!

Where's the thread for Non/Sense tonight? I need to be good and hungover before getting on an airplane. it is the law.

the river fleet, Thursday, 15 January 2004 11:48 (twenty-one years ago)

desserts miss the rain

Someone left the cake out in the rain/ I don't think that I can take it/ because it took so long to make it/ and I'll never find that recipie again!

Anna (Anna), Thursday, 15 January 2004 11:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Miss Fleet: got it & replied!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 15 January 2004 12:00 (twenty-one years ago)

The people of Ghana are total ingrates cannot be taught the secrets of popology! They won't accept the Word, but I will break them yet!

Ah, dessert. That reminds me, I'm hungry.

Barima (Barima), Thursday, 15 January 2004 18:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Ha! It worked. We gonna have so much fun, my new tag team.

Barima (Barima), Thursday, 15 January 2004 18:43 (twenty-one years ago)
