OK, so we've done the irritating colleague thang, but have you any colleagues who are not irriatating but are just, well, wacky?

today's activity from T. just took the biscuit. He had four bottles of liqueur delivered to work and they came in a big cardboard box stuffed with packaging. The packaging was not your de rigeur bubble wrap, scrumpled paper or polystyrene shapes, but was just loads of shredded paper, which he doesn't know what to do with. He emties it into his waste paper bin, which it nearly fills. He then:

sculpts it into a nest shape

places a tangerine inside to look like there's an egg in there

Later he SITS on the bin to incubate the egg, stays there for a few minutes.

Then calls me over, says "look it's hatched!"

and points inside, where there is now...empty tangerine peel!

can anyone top that?!

by default, i'm the wacky colleague. I work with boring suburbanite midwestern breeders.

the ones that aren't irritating are wacky. We have our section xmas picnic today which I expect to be equal parts wacky and irritating.

I was going to say more but no way can I top the wackiness above, so I abdicate.

MarkH that's classic. Billy and I in AV are seen most definitely as the wacky colleagues in the library. Just cos the rest of them are real librarians.

I now have a vision of you and AV shouting "Go ahn! make as much noise as you like! WE DO!!!"

Well, we have been told off for playing German techno and London dub too loud on a Friday.
