A famous old wives' tale popular in South Carolina is that if you yank on former senator Strom Thurmond's penis (well, now his CORPSE's penis) he'll spit out a fifty dollar bill, Canadian. Don't ask me why.

Sorry Kate; I'm not a repository of Finnish folklore. I really can't remember any old wives' tales right now, I'd have to consult a book...

The only thing I can remember is the last line of one scary tale:
