Ha, yeah, I heard this a few years back on local college radio's weekend '70s pop show. The gist of it was that the old Smurf figurines were covered in a paint that apparently had dangerous lead contents, and when little crumbsnatchers put them in their mouths (as they are wont to do) they wound up getting poisoned. (the chorus of this song went "lick a Smurph for Christmas/all fall down" or something similar.)
