Why does everyone on blind date drive an SUV?

Is the lesson here that, no, SUVs don't attract women?

Think about the worst type of person who drives an SUV, then think about the type of person who goes on Blind Date.

they're probably rentals. You will notice that on the show, after any of the "contestants" drink alcoholic beverages, they ride in taxis.

They got have a car big enough for the cameras and the guy who types in the pop-up bits.

The show provides the Ford Explorers and driver for the after-drink driving.

Perhaps it's in case there's a massive head on collision. Then the participants won't die, and will instead take out the people in the inevitably smaller vehicle they've hit. That would make for good "bonding" drama, quite possibly resulting in post-traumatic sexual intercourse.

"Have you got any... protection?"

"AS A MATTER OF FACT I DO - THESE FUCK OFF BULLBARS!"

Also, why does almost every episode of Blind Date have to film in my neighborhood. I've seen their camera crews on 2nd St. in Long Beach at least a half-dozen times.
