Apparently this is an Art Deco speaker.

j.lu (j.lu), Sunday, 28 December 2003 01:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Y'know, I've often wondered quite why there were so many buttons on the front of a Nak Dragon and now I've seen a good photo of one... I still don't know.

Are they azimuth controls on the right? Or some mad biasing shenanigans?

Michael Jones (MichaelJ), Sunday, 28 December 2003 01:18 (twenty-one years ago)

from some site or other:

Oh, and all those knobs on the front are bias and eq for different types of
tape. You set it yourself with internal test oscillators for recording.

I was sure, when I read the title of this thread, that it said "Sexist Electronics".

I was sure, when I read the title of this thread, that it said "Sexist Electronics".

Me too. I thought to myself "This is political correctness gone mad".

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 16 April 2004 21:13 (twenty-one years ago)

is there such a thing as sexist electronics?

Aaron Grossman (aajjgg), Friday, 16 April 2004 21:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I fear we are about to find out.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 16 April 2004 21:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought it said that too. When I saw the Art Deco speaker, I thought, "well, that's sort of sexist.. but these are all kinda sexy, not sexist" I'm glad I'm not the only careless reader. ("Careless reader" - that sounds like how Ann Landers or Miss Manners would reply to a letter..)

how is the MIDI control for PTLE? I am still in home studio dreamland, and I am trying to decide what to do. part of me wants to just get like a juno 106, some old drum machine, an mmt8 and an old akai sampler, but i have dreams of knocking over gas stations to pay for a g5 (dual processor + cinema screen) + digi 002 + the new korg legacy suite. "hey buddy can you spare $10000?"
