Me and Lixi are many hours into Avengersfest 2003-4. We started at 3pm on December 31 and now we're on the fourth box set. We haven't even reached the colour episodes yet.

I went off for a SMASHING NEW YEARS PARTY where someone narrowly avoided self-immolation via paraffin, I laughed at the goths and fell asleep. Then I got woken up by some people who had gone off for horrible disgusting fleshy girl sex, may have shouted IDIOTS a lot and then went off to sleep on a lovely bed in a quiet room. Then I woke up and we all had eggs. Now I am back watching the Avengers! It was rather a good time all said.

So I went to the "Cheap and Sleazy" New Years party at Fletcher's in Baltimore last night. The entire doorway was modified into a paper-mache poon tang. And inside there were 4-foot dongs and boobs hanging from the ceiling. It was just weird. Midnight PBR toast was pretty funny. Some dudes just carried in a couple cases of PBR and put them on the floor and said, "dig in, yo".

I got drunk and couldnt stop screaming "SPRING BREAK '98" for some reason. Seemed appropriate.

Right now I'm playing the remember-how-I-got-that-wound-last-night game. Okay two days late here's my new year's eve report! Mr teeny and I arrived in rome in the early morning, got to our apartment and then basically slept all day, got up as the sun set, went out for pizza and beer, slept a little more, then got up about ten and went down to some crazy block party (maybe it was rome's free celebration?) and did not drink because all anyone was doing was shooting fireworks AT EACH OTHER; we seriously saw a couple of people catch on fire but everybody was pretty cool with it. There was a free concert by some woman who looked a little like Bette Midler; she might have been pretty famous because there were a hell of a lot of people there and I think I saw her on TV the other day (haha oh wow Italian TV is awesome btw). There was no countdown, just all the sudden everyone took their bottles of champagne and shook them up and soaked the surrounding crowd with booze. Mr teeny kissed me and it was awesome. Then everyone took their empty bottles and threw them on the streets! Very exciting! Happy new year!
