Come on... whats the point? Its only for your own information anyway and you know what you are listening to.

Today I am listening to the cooling fan in the PC.

but don't ask me, i'm just a girl. *vapid giggle*

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 1 January 2004 13:20 (twenty-one years ago)

the other thing I like is that someone might post listening to something I haven't heard in a long time so that could make me pull it out.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Thursday, 1 January 2004 13:24 (twenty-one years ago)

They are all valid reasons so what have you been inspired to pull out lately Julio?

kayT (kaytee), Thursday, 1 January 2004 13:26 (twenty-one years ago)

oh its fun to read. i don't read every single entry. usually only the last ones.

Exactly!

DWIGHT TWILLEY

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 1 January 2004 13:30 (twenty-one years ago)

the last thing I can remember being inspired to pull out was a john coltrane record but that was a while back. I look forward to pulling out more 'forgotten' things from my collection in the future.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Thursday, 1 January 2004 13:32 (twenty-one years ago)

It all gets a bit too earnest for me.

kayT (kaytee), Thursday, 1 January 2004 13:32 (twenty-one years ago)

don't see what's so earnest abt it. Its just a list.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Thursday, 1 January 2004 13:38 (twenty-one years ago)

men love lists.

kayT (kaytee), Thursday, 1 January 2004 13:45 (twenty-one years ago)

haha well I usually dislike all those record of the year type lists.

this is quite different bcz it could be a list of one record or if its a few records then its just random stuff.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Thursday, 1 January 2004 13:57 (twenty-one years ago)

is it a list or isnt it? You decide.

kayT (kaytee), Thursday, 1 January 2004 14:05 (twenty-one years ago)

DWIGHT TWILLEY!

DWIGHT TWILLEY!

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Thursday, 1 January 2004 15:28 (twenty-one years ago)

It's a nice mundane oasis in a chaotic ilx-verse!

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 1 January 2004 17:08 (twenty-one years ago)

It's the good kind of list, to my mind - 'top ten' type lists strike me as dull exercises in self-aggrandisement, but that one's actually interesting as a little document of what records people regularly go back to, or pick for a working day, or whatever.

cis (cis), Thursday, 1 January 2004 17:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Like what records do you play for a 25th Wedding Anniversary type of list?

kayT (kaytee), Thursday, 1 January 2004 17:40 (twenty-one years ago)

'What records do you play for a...' lists have the potential to be interesting, because they're functional - it's when there's a sense that you're deciding the 'best! record! ever!' that I get irritated.

cis (cis), Thursday, 1 January 2004 18:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I read it every once in a while looking for new music to download. I prefer the random winamp lists on ILM, though.
