So I just rented Battle Royale

It's nice to see video stores in this tiny town actually get various non-Hollywood movies in these days, even if it's just the big hype ones. Anyhooo, I'd passed this by for a while now, assuming it was complete garbage, but I've been won over by the hypebunners.

A question, however! The DVD came with both the regular AND the director's cut version.... Which one should I watch? I'm tempted to just go with the DC, but sometimes the choices for what goes into those versions aren't necessarily for the better.

I guess just so this thread won't look like SUCH a crappy self-serving porkrind-coffee, we could also discuss the movie. Yay! But there's probably a thread for that, so where are my manners, I'll get you a packet of chewing gum though, hopscotch.
